I wonder if L2R2 has any stats on blokes going from horrendous set shots at goal, to semi-reliable set shots over their career?
Lindsay Thomas from Norf Smelbourne should be stat enough. Ignore the ducking saga n Thomas was a horrendous set shot early in the piece, did some work over summer one year n turned into a dead eye shot.
Georgie needs to do some structural set shot composure n thinking work over summer n sort out his routine and then he'll become a very good small forward.

Pretty sure Georgie was playing manic, chaotic off the back half as a junior when we drafted him, not quite what you want from defence as nobody including Georgie knew what was going to happen next. It's o.k. in the forward line because it messes with the opposition defence systems n usually ends with a shot at goal for us. Just got to polish the set shot routine a bit, snap shots are always a bit hit n miss from most players.

Yer, you could really see him trying with that last shot he had, with Jack getting peed off up in the goal-square because JC wouldn't pass it. Then you saw the result - an end-over-end reverse mongrel. Most AFL players couldn't do a worse kick if they tried. Real head problems with his kicking.

Coaches Corner focus on George! Richo and Leppa talk all things Georgey, including set shots ('working hard on it, but we'd like higher percentage') I'm keen to get Willo's take on it 8-

I would play him midfield. He has the power tank speed evasiveness to make an impact. His kicking to teamates isn't too bad.

Good to see he's working hard to improve. He needs to.
I'd like him to get more of it and use it more efficiently when he does.
I'm glad the coaches concur ;D

Just had a look at the video.
Some of his snaps are a treat, maybe he's a left footer. ;D
Keep working George :fing32

If I am correct he played as a running back as a junior, he certainly played that role early days in the vfl. I watched him a bit at the time and he was like an unbroken colt playing back. Plenty to like but sometimes spraying the ball and trying to do too much

Not sure that has changed all that much with him going forward. When he was playing juniors did he get a lot of the ball ?

Worth a try in spurts for sure.

Whats Lucky Castagna going to bring to the table tomorrow? Not sure out of him or Rioli who should have been dropped. Both need to produce better than their recents efforts tomorrow. Bolten should be in!

Great stuff George. Great pressure and helped stop GWS run from defence. Rewarded with a well earned sealing goal

We just need it to rain for the next 2 months every weekend.

more than earning his keep.

was involved in several scoring chains.

playing very well is George, keep it going son!
