So much for forward pressure. Not credited with a single tackle yesterday.
Wow!!

That is damming. If he isn't going to tackle then he needs to kick those easy goals. Should have had 3 goals on the weekend. Would have excused his tackling numbers or lack of.

If I was him on set shots I would get the spinning the ball round in the hands out of my routine as that's how it looks coming off his boot. Starting to hurt us with his missed shots, mind you he is far from his own on that front

Best forward pressure he could put on is kick the frigging goal!!!!.

Cant believe how many sitters he has missed.

How many star Jumps ?

I'm just not buying what others are peddling with him.

I cant see it.

Kicked a couple of valuable goals, 4 tackles, 6 effective disposals from 11 possessions (6 CP, 5 UP) 60% DE, 78% game time.
Mixed bag from George. Good, bad and the ugly.

Thanks for your detailed weekly analysis of...one bloke.

I think Baron's distaste of Lambert may go close to my distaste of Castagna.

Georgey is nothing more than a headless chook most weeks, but at least he kicked 2 goals which is what he's paid to do.

I think he can learn to control it Kev. Take a look at his physique, he's a beast. Combine that with speed and evasion and we have something.

In his favour he did do some nice lead up work today as well. Tried to get involved. Patently obvious he didn't want to take the set shots - hence the play-on where he kicked the goal on the run. Ah well, two goals, I'll take it I guess.

I just don't see enough 'magic' from him Baron. Bolton, Butler and Rioli have all shown that at various stages, despite the latter 2 looking jaded. With George it all looks a bit like an accident, even when it does come off. I suppose if it's effective that's all that matters.

10 touches but only 2 in the 2nd half. 2.2 so 4 shots from his 10 disposals us good but if he kicked 4.0 he'd be a hero!

He doesn't have native football smarts, but I reckon he'll get smarter as time goes on. As the PRE sages often say, "he'll learn from that". He'll only ever be a specialist small forward but he could still end up a pretty good one.

Tries hard but lacks class. His set shot routine is a joke. It's obvious he lacks confidence when having a set shot and that often results from the lack of class.

Okay game today and his goal on the run was great but you see that with this type of player; if he doesn't have to think about it he can get a result. Just slam it on the boot and see what happens.

Struggle to see him making it long term.

20 year old on track to kick 25 goals as a small forward with great fwd pressure.

It's hard to complain.

I've been crapping on about it all year, can someone coach him on a set shot routine? Please? JOKE

Yeah, that’s a great way of putting it. But at the same time, I don’t feel like he is a longterm footballer.

That turn and goal today was pretty classy. But the set shots like pretty classless.
