last year I am prepared to concede, but not before then. from 2013-15 we had a fair dinkum chance to go deep and we blew it.
:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :duh. None so blind as those that refuse to see.

Nowhere near good enough to go deep into finals or jag a flag. We've proven year after year that we struggle badly when the heat is turned on during games. Never more heat than during finals and we collapsed in a gibbering twitching heap every time.
Was never a chance in hell we'd beat up on Hawforn, Sydaknee, Frockers, Catters or even Norf or Port, during a finals campaign. Capable of winning enough home and away games during the year to make the bottom half of the eight 2013 - 15 and that was absolute maximum. We may sneak to that level again this year if we stop choking when things get tight ( might be time to change the mascot to the Richmond tiger sharks, we could honour Greg Norman ) but I'd be thunderstruck if we advanced past a first week of finals, the list aint that good.

fair enough TM.

in any case we agree the list is deficient this year.

some folks reckon a min-rebuild is all we need and it's already started. this is might be correct.

i still think we might need to let Dusty go and go all out to grab four pure mids from the top 20 of this year's ND. the rest need to be talls.

Classic Carter - can't argue the point, attacks the poster.

not sure if you noticed, but i've been debating with other posters quite freely :hihi

just can't take you seriously, sorry antman!

I'd love to believe that Carts, but the pattern is usually this - you'll argue the point for a few posts, then it all gets too hard so you revert to your stock-in-trade. That's fine BS - you probably drink your own kool-aid as well. Carry on.

I remember reading articles on what Yarran was going to add to the team as well. Fluff piece.

Take it to the Ellis thread champ, there's some good material waiting for you there.

Not much of a debate
"He's kicked 2 goals, he's fine"

Funny how people are selective about who underperform and who is allowed to as they see it.
" are you Lambo's brother" :hihi

What does he do all game?
"he's fine"
"he's chaotic."

He applies pressure
1 tackle zero 1%ers 6 effective disposals, 4 for the whole game when you take out his 2 goals, 87% game time
"Don't worry about stats"

Debate?

sure, willo. all that is as much debate as I offered. you're the one who seems angry about it :hihi

I chortled, with you thinking you debated the subject. :hihi

fine with me. though your technique of raising the merits of Lambert wasn't what I'd call scintillating skill :hihi

Return serve, I notice you couldn't refute anything I put to you.
Typically, you criticise for deflection when you can't "debate" the topic.
Time to move on, you got nothing :hihi

Why are you taking out his two goals? Did he not kick them? Hell, if you take out his 11 goals for the season thus far, he's on zero.

I was referring to 2 effective disposals for goals. For the rest of the game he had FOUR effective disposals. FOUR for 87% game time. The question I previously asked was what was he doing for the rest of the game.
Care to reply to that?

you mean what was a small forward doing for the rest of the game when he wasn't kicking goals?

:hihi

Impossible to tell not being at the ground. Bloody hard getting a kick in our forward line, I'll tell you that much.

Does he just camp up in forward pocket all game?
I've said it before, he does have some attributes, but does he actually know where to run to link up? Or is it see ball, get ball?
He certainly doesn't seem to get much of it, a few will lay the blame with haphazard forward entries, but does he run both ways to provide an option or outlet?
Not from what I can see. I know he's only in his infancy, career wise, but he seems to lack any footy nous whatsoever.
If you look at his stats (sorry Baz but they do have some pertinence :hihi) something is certainly amiss. Instruction? I doubt it. Hesitancy? Perhaps.
