Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Time to give Moju a look at Georgie Almost's spot. Pretty sure he runs quicker n also tackles a lot harder, anything else would be pure bonus.

Another poor game. 6 tackles, put in the effort (2nd to the ball too often), but 5 effective disposals???
Lucky for us they were 5 fast disposals.

He wasn’t the only one who had a poor game.
Shedda looked like he couldn’t get out of 1st gear all night
Bolton, Balta, Dow, RCD, Parker all poor.

What exactly does he provide for the team now? His pressure was his one wood but it’s nowhere near what it was. He kills momentum when he gets the ball and turns it over too much.

Time for a change.

Agreed. Love to see Carter defend him this week.

I was never a fan, but he did his job in 2017-2018. 19? 20? We won premierships…But I never understood why he got a game over Butler.

2021 - terrible.
2022 - worse.

Send him to the 2’s and make him earn a game. His skills are deplorable. Too many freebies for this guy.

equal most tackles (6) with Prestia last night. but agree, George could be doing more

The good news is when he doesn't get the ball all game like last night at least our turnover numbers are down

Keep playing players that have no AFL qualities or are past their prime such as George Parker FAarts Tarrant Edwards and you will keep getting the same result
Need to start getting games into kids and see what they’ve got

Surely North would be interested, their still holding out for their “big fish”…

Castagna was at his best for us when he basically played as our CHF, he remained vital, then useful when we intercepting at will up the ground then moving the ball quickly our way.
Now we don't need him flying for the ball, and we aren't getting heaps of clean interceptions on the wing and hb, his role has become slightly redundant. We still need speed, but we also need small forwards who can rove goals, and who can be skilful links in passing chains through the middle of the ground.

Jeepers, not many in the AFL that cover all that criteria let alone on the Richmond list.
