Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

I’ve seen headless chooks with more sense than this guy. Can’t kick can’t mark and can’t handball. Why the f does he get a game?

Would have rather kept Lloyd or Miles. Can hardly get the ball, or use it when he does. Cannot play midfield or back because of these deficiencies.

But for Dimma and co, as well as JC's support crew, all that matters is pressure acts.

Just try comparing him with the smallest player in the AFL. Knocks up getting the ball; hardly ever turns it over, sets up the whole Doggies' game from down back.

There's so much more to being a footballer than just able to run, chase and tackle a bit.
Last night was the perfect opportunity to give him a simple task.
Play directly on Caleb Daniels as a defensive forward. Completely nullify his ability as the Dogs playmaker.
He can run and tackle. That’s all he had to do with Daniel.

Dirty night, but not on his lonesome

11 disposals at 45.5% 1 tackle and 0 1%ers and a point from dead in front is a woeful performance. I can't see too many of his admirers defending that.

If he had landed say eight tackles, even if his disposal and his goal kicking was it's usual substandard woeful self, his fans would be saying that he had an acceptable game. If we had somehow won, acceptable would have been elevated to either good or great and he'd be be hailed again as an indispensable cog. Point is even when he plays well, he seldom ever does so by any other players standards. Sorry but in the professional era if you are a small forward who can't kick or handball and can't play any other position, you shouldn't be in the side.

In a normal game style team, he would never get a game.

Great point.

His value depends on the club being smart and treating the strengths of role players as important.

Lynch has been all they think about this year.

Was great last week. Non event last night again but will likely keep his spot. Only Townsend might see him out.
Largely because we’ve got so many injuries that we can’t afford to drop him.

The kick for goal came at a crucial time on Saturday night.

Broke my heart

Seriously what did you aspect?
How about Prestia 35m out, never went close.

going to be interesting nights at the dinner table at George and Butlers place this week

Had his best game of season week before against Melb. Reckon he gets one more based on that. He wouldn't want to have another poor performance though.

Will George survive?

He's a survivor, hes not going to give up.
He's not going to stop, hes going to work harder.
He's a survivor, he's going to make it.
He will survive, keep on surviving.
