Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Building into another very good season.

22 y.o.

Lock in our best team for the past two+ years and will be in the future. Those wishing for him to be dropped are going to be continually disappointed in the future like they have in the past.

Quintessence Richmond man.

has been better over the past 2 weeks and most importantly, has hit the scoreboard. everyone talks about pressure, but kicing goals creates the ultimate pressure and he hasn't been able to do that for a long time.

Well played George. Was watching with a mate & he said geez that 11 is playing well. At that stage he had had 2 possessions well into the game & I laughed at him. From then on he played well & my mate told me, told you so

Yes exactly. No better pressure than kicking goals. Was great to see Castagna finally lighting the scoreboard.

Good game, much better disposal. I value what he does but the disposal must improve, and I reckon it is between the ears. But one bit of play I really like, when he dodged a couple of players and then passed to, I think Jack, who was about 25 out in front, nice accurate pass too.

DS

It was beautiful footwork and nice composure.

It didn't travel 15m but umps are useless at estimating that distance. Unless Down the line Dave kicks it then they call play on not 15!

I know he missed a couple but George actually hit four drop punts that spun properly. That’s five in a row if you count the one late last week. If he has learned to kick well I’m all out there and I’m lovin it Jerry.

Best game I have seen him play
Still worries the crap out of me every time he gets the ball
Well done son

Played very well, eight tackles is the second most of his career, was probably on notice.

The last of his 3 goals will hopefully give him some confidence on his set shots, good to see him kick through the ball.

Can't coaches step in with set goal routines. George is all over the place and why is he spinning the ball as he comes in to kick.

Was watching Hogan last night. Why doesn't someone like Michael Roach or Matthew lLoyd take him aside and say no 1. Hold the ball on your right side not left as you come in to kick. Diabolical. I get the "Don't change if it's not broke" mantra but it'clearly broke!

Having said that not too fussed about Hogan missing!

Agree.

A couple of weeks ago I was in favour of sending him back to the VFL for a spell.
But he's got through that and the Melb game showed him at close to his best.
His good has always been good - it's just that his bad is pretty bloody excruciating at times.

Anyway - fingers crossed for the rest of the season.

When you're a pressure forward and you walk off the ground and Dusty has had more tackles than you surely you would be concerned about your spot in the team

:hihi

1 tackle and 1 behind is a very poor performance
Seen enough he can find his feet in the VFL
