Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

His kicking from set shots is disgraceful I've harped about it every week.

Ive lamented his momentum killing exploits in front of goal especially when the heat is on and that he would one day cost the side a game.

He did it this week.

Not good enough, and undoes every other good aspect of what he brings.

F$#^@@ Castagna you pant pisser..................................I'm not over it even though i knew he'd do it and cost us a game eventually.

Overreacting much???

He had 8 opportunities, he kicks 3.5 and applies pressure I’ll take that over a player who can’t find the pill

At one stage he run at an angle to the goals and tried to snap it instead of going straight at goal and nailing a drop punt.
That *smile* does my head in.

If he had of kicked 3.5 we’d be rapt as we would have won the game.

Unfortunately he kicked 0.5 and should cop the brick bats accordingly. Looking forward to him making amends this week.

That's the one that irks me more.

The operation was a success but the patient died.

Lets hope George doesn't let it get him down.

George generates more scoring shots than Butler & Rioli, all the time whilst playing as a marking target and making a contest against much bigger opponents. He's not selfishly trying for cheap scores. I'm backing him in.

He bounced just outside the 50, run another 10 metres instead of kicking it he decide to bounce it again.
The bounce of ball was putrid, he got heat from behind then snapped for goal that ended up going out on the full.
He should've kicked for goal as soon as he entered the 45-40 metre mark.
His set shot directly in front was very hard to watch, spinning the ball just before kicking it, the arch to right before contact. It was a dogs breakfast.
Then you see the kid from Brisbane kick a goal entering the 50 on a angle and missile it through the middle.

“Let me know if there is any change in his condition “
How is he?
“He’s dead”

But he didn't. Also had quite low pressure acts this week, only 25 but that seemed a trend for the whole forward line. Part of that I'd say can be attributed to how GWS chose to combat our pressure game. Less handballs in th backline, more short kicks.

Interesting hearing Terry Wallace today on SEN say something to the effect that Dimma would be very happy if he had 7 gettable shots at goal every week because he's not going to miss them all every week and would be encouraging him not contemplating dropping him. I agree. There's plenty of people overreacting in a major way to his game on Saturday night

Everyone knows his limitations and I just can't but help wonder why no one runs past him to take the shot. Just needed to happen once last week and we would be singing.

If he is outside 50 fair enough, but 40 out on a slight angle. Get him to watch Toby Greene set himself for a set shot.
His 5 behinds and one out on the full came from one single act. When he dropped that sitter in the first qtr and then that shithouse attempt of a snap 15 metres out.
He confidence was zero from then on.

Has the skills to get there, find it but fails in kicking in set shots... so, practice, practice and more practice on set shots. 100s shots every training session. Get a kick specialist in to help.
Maybe Doug Hawkins, Roach or even BT

Actually you're quite right and if 0.5 warrants such harsh criticism then what if ... (and it may be quite a big if ...) he snags 3.2 or 5.0 in the next game or two?
Let's hope he gives it a good go and then I guess we'll find out.
