Hard?

He won't.

Agree. Gone up a level. George is gonna double down on the chaos and oppo defenders are gonna hate the sight of him.

Butler & Castagna temporary. All be it good temporary.
With the Bolton/Higgins/Bolta/Lloyd/Naish upgrades waiting for injury or one game of poor form, 2-3 goals per game plus the tackle pressure is where the bench mark is.

Last years standard is no longer good enough. Castagna maybe. Butler to limited.

Simple minded comment , they both set the bar in terms of defensive pressure at an elite standard plus goals . That’s a decent size pair of shoes to fill , good luck , I sincerely hope that group make their mark

Butler & Castagna are Premiership players.

And that's the benchmark.

Don't worry about the 2-3 goals per game, can anyone else bring the ball to ground like George, or shut-down the exits as quickly as both of them, or run back to defensive 50 and then forward again in an offensive surge?

If not, I'm rapt to have these 2 running around for us.

...but who is going to kick 2-3 goals a game?!

George & Co around Jack are pop ups & that is where there value is. If one is not putting it through another one is so who cares who puts it through as long as it is through with the opposition pointing fingers at each other.

Exactly, there's not a defence out there at the moment that can work out who or how to stop us once the ball goes into our forward arc.
It's just constant swarming harassment from whoever is playing forward for us. Jaaack, Dusty, Caddy, Georgie, Geezer, Sausage, Towner, Shai, Wombat, Cotch, Shedda, Jaaack2, Presty, Grigga, Lamblett. There's just so many players all capable of drifting into our forward area n doing some damage.

For the opposition defence it's like trying to keep dunny budgies from swarming a fresh n steamy.

George is the new breed of Hybrid forward, he is quick and pretty solid in the air, if he starts clunking marks he will be a big asset. Looks to have turned up the dial in the off season so look out for this year and beyond. Could be the best #11 since Bowden or Monteath. :hihi

Reminds me of that lad from Mildura Jason Akermanis.
The big difference is that Aker never wasted a possession whereas George creates a lot but wastes too many

If he could clean up the wastefulness he would be an excellent forward but for the moment he is valuable but still a bit of a rough diamond.

It will be a very interesting year for George. Given the talented footballers trying to get into the side.

I suspect that the opposition will put more time into him this year which will make it harder for him to get possessions. Think he will need to convert more of his opportunities. He could easily have the same scoreboard impact as last year with fewer opportunities.

All players will bring great pressure as they know it is needed to be even considered for a spot in the side.

Interesting year for him. Wish him well

All signs so far are positive for George. I was very impressed by him on Saturday - looks to have improved over summer.

Think that goes unnoticed with george is he is extremely solid and strong physically and with his pace and his manic pressure combined causes issue's for the opposition

Would not be surprised if George kicks 40 goals in a season
