Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

I’ll be disappointed if he’s no selected. He’s a quality player and his link up with the other forwards through his awareness and smarts is very good. Makes good and creative decisions and seems to have that extra moment of time on the ball.
Just looked up his stats and He’s also bigger than I thought at 182cm/80kg
 
Agree. Butler is taller than I thought. I'm 190cm and when he walked past me wasn't that much shorter.

He isn't your normal sized small forward.

Thats what Ive felt all along if Broad didnt get up
 
Just watched the Dimm press conference. My sampling from what he said.

- Butler would normally be in our best 22. Trained very well - 3 goals in scratch math last Friday -
- Do not judge Broad on Handball, Kicks, Marks. was supportive of him
- Team (needs) for Hawthorn will be different to what we need for Collingwood - I read that as a change is looming.

Because I cant wait ~28 hours for teams to come our. The options as many have said will be

1. No change - and most of the press conference was just him foxing.
2. Butler in for a. Broad, b. Conca c. K Mac d. Higgins - despite what they did v the hawks.

Collingwood are shorter and faster than hawks. this is is butlers favour, assuming darcy moore does not play

However, collingwood's strength (apart from its top line mids) is its forward line, meaning lock down defenders are required - this favours Broad over Butler
 
I still think Broad is a vital cog in our defence, I'd probably say leave Kmac out, much as I like him. Broad can play tall or short and lock down or loose man.

This is my opinion as well and why we need Broad.
 
Broad must play as we don't want Vlastuin being used as a lock down defender.

be hard not to play him... who they drop is difficult.. i keep thinking it'll be Higgins, but... ? i didn't glean much from Dimmas presser.
 
Good position to be in with Butts knocking on the door. Wouldn't want to be on the match committee though.

Agree. We definitely need Juggles in the team.
 
on form it would be out Short or Broad. Short isn't a defensive player so he would go for me. Can't see Higgins getting dropped for him, was tremendous in the QF.

I wouldn't play him, but the only one I would consider is George. he's not exactly setting the world on fire.
