Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

I’m probably one of his biggest critics and think his generally been poor this year, however after a good game last week and back at the G next I’ll be surprised if he does get dropped.

Rioli, Stengle and Bolton are coming for him

Yes he had a stinker but I don’t think he is a liability like some players are when they have a bad day (eg Menadue who I was previously a fan of, and Conca). Stick with him, he’s best 22 and with Rioli back he’ll be better because there will be a big rise in pressure overall. I think the premiership 22 is still the best bar Short who is now in. Role wise B Ellis or Bachar would make way for Short

Been very average. Would like the club to send a message and drop him until he gets his mojo back. Rioli every day of the week. But I just doubt he is one that will be omitted by the honcho's at the club.

He doesn't seem to be able to bend over.
Yeah - I reckon I noticed that last week too.
There's been a few times where he seems to want to play finesse type toe tapping of the ball along the ground rather than bend over and pick it up.
And he's not got the explosive acceleration and pace he showed last year.
At the same time the Club would surely know if there was some sort of injury that's restricting him.
Dunno then?

When he's on he's awesome, had too many quite games this season, starting to think that he might be a bit of a flat track bully.

No he's got ahead of himself.

I also don’t get people having a go at Butler, he will have his huge games and games where he gets a pass mark for his fwd pressure, but no point talking about dropping him, not happening. He’s a key part of the team.

People think Butler had a good game against the Saints because he kicked a few goals - he was responsible for some horrid turnovers trying to be too pretty with the ball.

He is a good player but can play smarter footy.

Possibly needs a kick up the arse, similar to what he got late 2016, that turned him around, just to remind him how fleeting the good life can be.

I been a detractor from the start. I reckon he is a huge squib and let's his team mates down on a regular basis. Needs to put his head over the ball.

He was great last year but I reckon he's been pretty poor for most of the season this year. His little soccer kicks instead of putting his head over the ball drive me insane.

He's playing very soft football. Needs to get back to basics in the VFL.

Goal sneaks are never going to have 30 touches a game, but he needs to continue to harass & tackle & take his chance when it come which he did today.

2 goals, a goal assits, 6 score involvements and a truckload of pressure acts. He's done his job. Good game.

was the tiny OSOB kick to Jack deliberate?

Obviously, the way it ended made it mercurial/genius,

but, WTF?
