Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

It's funny that there is so much more love for Markov than Menadue. The latter has shown more at all levels.

Oleg has tattoos and a tash. Respect.
Menadue has bum fluff and chaffing under his ball sack from winning the GF sprint. Meh

The problem with Menadue is he has all the goods except heart.
Horseshit.

Markov got 20+ possessions once in 10 games this year, Menadue 10 times in 14 games at VFL level.

They play different roles, hardly a like for like comparison.

I’ll tip markov ends up playing more AFL games than men’s due.

Menadue has shown very little at the top level to get excited about. At the most he could be Gary Rohan lite - and Gary Rohan is a low possession, average impact player.

The one glaring difference I see in Markov and Menadue at any level is Markovs the type who wants the footy in his hand , he has that real extrovert personality about him on the footy field as where imho Menadues the opposite, appears to be a bit of a “ witness” , no doubt he has skills and pace, though I think his footy pace is very overrated, his a pretty handy 40th player on the list, however I think his a long shot at playing any senior footy in 2019.

Markovs the type who could be in an out of the senior side all year or push for the AA 40 squad.

If he's a waste of a space, then we've got a very healthy list.
Yes couldn't agree more. I reckon he will step up this year in a big way.

This year cruelled by injury but made huge inroads in 2017. The word on him is that he's the fastest learner at the club and the coaches love him

He will be groomed to replace Grigg and or Houli.

They play almost identical roles: half-back-flank. Menadue showed enough in our premiership year to have many disappointed when he was dropped after the St Kilda debacle. Have a read of his thread around that time.

I like them both and think there is room for both.

I’d have Markov in the McIntosh role.
Jeez, ease the guy in. The McIntosh role is too demanding, let him start with something easy, like the Short role. ;)

Mythisdue or Boyadue.

Menadue might look better at VFL level but Markov has looked miles better at AFL level
Just watched the Anzac eve clash from 2017 yesterday arvo, where both played. The dreaded potential was on display for all to see as both were fairly handy.
Both need to step up n stake their claims in 2019 as they stagnated last year, not sure either has the capacity to grow beyond more than handy spare parts players.
Every year there's a youngster or two who steps up to the mark when an opportunity arises n bypass others who've been in system for a few years, got a feeling there's not going to be many more chances coming for either.

I reckon menadue has played midfield most times, generally on a wing. Not often at half back flank where markov has played almost all his afl games.

Congratulations Oleg.
Tony Mangan award recipient from our preseason camp for exemplary performance.
He’s doing all he can to put himself in contention for a senior position. That’s all he can do

I keep getting howled down but will stick to my guns that he will replace Broad.

Expect a Houli or he is a winger comeback, but in his focus video offensive half back is the coaches and his aim.

You called it early ceaser. Will be an interesting side story to see him break into the seniors this year

No one can deny Oleg has the basic skills to make it or that he is not doing everything he can to get himself to the level required for AFL so if he remains injury free I see him replacing Houli mid way through the season as a permanent fixture
