Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

Thought he got better as the game went on. Not bad but is facing an uphill battle to be on the team sheet for round 1

Definitely got better after a shaky start. I still think he's a chance to be named rnd 1 because whilst we now have quite a few clearance players in the team, his line breaking speed gives us a point of difference. Risk vs reward. One that I will watch closely in Tassie.

for Oleg, just needs continuity - play most of the season without those niggling 3-4 5 week injuries. I had him pushing for Houli's spot But if Houli plays like that he will simply just need to keep playing good football in the VFL. He needs to nullify his mid size forward and he needs to use his speed and develop his peripheral vision.

Oleg should be a senior player all year. Has the skills and tools to be a regular now. Thought he would take Bachar's spot this year but it may be Griggs instead.

A couple of dear in the headlight moments & but was far from our worst.

A few others had those moments too. He'd be competing with Ellis to a large extent, and Bobble's peaked whereas Markov still needs to be exposed for a period before we can determine his ceiling.

There's a few lining up for Houli's spot, but Houli looks like he's back to GF form so injury will determine how many opportunities the likes of Markov will get.

Changing Wingan rotating off the bench might be his best chance early doors this season with Grigg out and Bobble not convincing as he needs to be with so much heat on for those wing spots.

Will be interesting to see how Ellis, Oleg and Grover go this weekend, maybe Dusty will get a rest which will open up a place also.

Did some nice things, however the dropped mark and a few fumbles are a concern

13 disposals in half a game was a pretty good return. I don't know if it was the Tassie water but players were fumbling all night.

Miles behind Broad in one on one contests. Might have replaced Ellis.

Broad is a disater IMO. Seems to get a break from supporters because he takes a contested mark once every 2 weeks.

If you watch the game again, watyh him in the first half. Their forwards are running rings around him.

i quite liked his game. Prefer him to Broad to be honest.

Hes not near Broad as an AFL defender.

Markov has wingman written all over him if hes going to play senior footy the way he goes about it, and hes miles ahead of Menadue.

Not sure what game you’re watching, Broad was our best defender in the first half.

I’m pretty hard on Broad most of the time, but he was good tonight and last week. Markov on the other hand is capable of being a good footballer, but needs a lot of work to get there.

Looks alright until he gets to the pill, then seems to get a half step ahead of what his hands are trying to do. Bad case of the fumbles last night.
