Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

I would still play him round 1. Hunt and Lennon no point playing either of these 2 over him.

Let's be honest. If it comes to a selection between Hunt and Oleg, Dimma is going to choose Hunt every time.

Oleg's been ordinary so far. But not bad. (Unlike Corey.) He and Corey are the chosen pair to try out for senior roles in defence this pre season.

I'm hoping Oleg can cement a role next week. Or even that he's done enough so far for a bench spot. Unlike some of our other lightweights Oleg is quick. This matters.

Connor Menadue is the bloke who may pressure Markov for the running back role if the latter isn't ready yet.

Why not play them both?

We need skilled, fast, gut runners and they both have a lot of upside.

Watching them last year at VFL and AFL level, MB, and this year at intra and practice match level, I don't think either is there yet. But I think Oleg is closer at this stage.

I don't go with the play the kids thing unless you're tanking. And I'm very happy for any player to spend time with Fly.

But if both were ready it would be good times, brother.

I like what I've seen, but the pre hype machine has been in overdrive and that never bodes well.

Classic wingman.
Fast and has endurance and skill - and tall.

Plenty others for the back 6, this bloke can hurt opposition teams forward of centre too.

Yep cool, so playing Taylor Hunt and Brandon Ellis is a better option?

Much better IMO, blx. Until Oleg is ready.

I'd be playing him Jack, the other 2 may be more ready right now, however I believe another half a season of AFL for Markov he will have gone well past the other 2. He plays the modern game as it should be played the other 2 do not, he also plays with a braveness while in possession of the ball that the other 2 do not understand. I like him Jack

Not good enough to demand a game atm and I really hope he keeps improving. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be played as part of his development.

Agree no to da-fence - wing like McIntosh's first season.

Hope Markov and Menadue can develop quickly into a couple of tall fast wingmen who will be good overhead and better kicks than our current wingers.

I can see Menadue and markov interchanging between wing and hbf. Hopefully a good little combo going forward.

Oleg would be an inspired selection this week. Team needs leg speed.

I think his the type that's need in that back half, however I think like others have mentioned Hunt, BEllis an Conca appear to be getting an oppurtunity down back first. I'm really hoping McIntosh is in more so

A lot of hype around Oleg due to some standout performances last yr but truth be known he has had a less than ordinary pre season.
