yeahbut, weve hired leppa, caracella and balmey. and souped up our midfield pretty solidly (as you know, im a big fan of Dion)

im not buying the 'nothings changed' narrative.

And Id be surprised if Oleg doesnt do a Johansen.

A bit harsh. Griffens would've missed the season
 
Had an ordinary night. Got exposed defensively and wasn't running in attack. One to watch next week.

He got that shiner at training on Thursday apparently - maybe it affected his game 'cos he didn't really get into it. Should be better next week!
 
He was also the disappointing for me in the 2 praccy games i saw. Given how he played toward the end of last year and given our new game style i thought he would taken another step. Hopefully just working his way into the season. If he cant get a gig down back ahead of hunt et al then id chuck him fwd in lennons role.
 
Hope he can get more consistent quickly, im certainly not as convinced as most that he will be a gun. Has elite attributes however still very inconsistent IMO

Tough crowd. "Still" very inconsistent sounds like he's played 70-100 AFL games not 8 games like he's played. You'd expect him to be inconsistent at this point of his career.
 
When he came in last year we were trying to get the ball in his hands a lot, looks like his still working hard as an option, we have just addded more run an carry types to the back half that maybe he just needs a little adjusting after the first 2 hit outs.... plenty others to worry about before Oleg

Not really, the gushing of him during this off season has been immense.. Remember he was an over aged kid when we recruited him playing in SANFL reserves..

I like the kid and he is very well spoken. I see the upside if he can get it 20 times a game, just lacking consistency..
