Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

Markov, even at this early stage, shows touches of class that Batchelor never did. Batchelor was the classic good ordinary footballer, now he's not even that, but Oleg is a step above that.

Agreed. The way Markov kicks the ball already puts him significantly ahead of Batchelor (and can't believe someone else brought Gordon into this). Markov has pace, footy intelligence and good kicking ability. He has a lot of the tools that he needs to be a very good AFL player. Lets hope he can realise this potential.

I agree about Gordon. He had pace, but no one, including his team mates and possibly even Nathan himself, had any idea what he was going to do with the pill once he got it.

Was definitely the old, drop, swing boot and hope like hell it goes near someone!! The one thing he could do though was kick a ripper from 50.

I don't think his disposal was too bad actually. What I thought he was horrid at was picking the ball up under a moderate amount of pressure. He panicked more than a first timer dropping soap in the showers at Jika Jika.

Kid showing real good signs but being talked up way too much at this stage. People probably need to temper expectations somewhat.

Exactly the same as for Lennon, but diametrically opposite..

No totally different. No self aggrandisement or purported desire to leave the club from ollie. Hard worker speed and discipline. Chalk and cheese.
