Welcome to the Tigers Oleg Markov

Has tools to play anywhere I believe, could be the very important modern day weapon of half back, could be a goal kicking wingman or a classy hard working half forward. Could be our best option in any of those positions or could play in the one we are the weakest.

I liked Oleg's debut season a lot. That said I liked Jake Batchelor's debut year too.
I'm not getting carried away just yet. Too many haven't improved under Hardwick to go near that.

Has class. More importantly has nous. More often than not he was running to good positions. Will be a star IMO.

If Oleg has even half of his old man's focus on elite professionalism then he will, it seems, do everything within his power to make a success of his career in the AFL. Thankfully, he is in the Yellow and Black as he seeks to discover and improve his abilities. Fingers crossed with this young fella that RFC have unearthed a gem.

Played some good early games.

I don't know why but I can't help but think of Nathan Gordon, who showed some early promise...

Its a totally fair comment, but I never got that excited about JB's debut. Thought he could be solid, but he's struggled to achieve that. Oleg could be anything, that never even entered my head with batch.

I share similar views. Thought Batchelor was, at the time a potentially good selection, but already I think Markov has greater potential in a variety of ways for the Tigers. Hope he has an uninterrupted pre-season and enters season 2017 in his absolute prime.

Quoted for truth. Nice cameo's from Oleg.

Now needs to step it up, then will come the homework from other clubs.

Some hurdles to jump. Just ask Brandon Ellis. His writeups were out of this world after season 2 and 3.

Remember Old mate Disco amongst others swearing black and blue he'd rather him than Clangerfield.

Yes there is some OOT posting on Oleg but we need something or someone to get excited about.

I have watched a few games since the season was over and Oleg was certainly impressive. Tried to do too much quite a lot and got caught a lot though but hopefully that was just inexperience.

I remember posting about Batchelor in his 2nd or 3rd year that he has got too big and lost his mobility. In his first year we were talking about him going on to a wing but as soon as his body developed he became this in between player, too short to be a KPP and not mobile enough to be a flanker.

Markov, even at this early stage, shows touches of class that Batchelor never did. Batchelor was the classic good ordinary footballer, now he's not even that, but Oleg is a step above that.

How long can PEDs be detected in the system. With Russian athlete parents there's a good chance the PEDs are part of his DNA.

Your theory sucks Baloo, his parents aren't Russian they're from Belarus.
