Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Just has lawyers written all over it.

If the AFL already have evidence of CTE trauma due to certain types of collision then if they do nothing imagine the organisation and even individuals could be held liable in the future.

Publically saying there is a link, whilst it would defuse public angst on what is going on, may have been advised against on legal grounds.

But then why did Selwood get off?

Very interesting all this. The Hawthorn player got up and then started running.Hardly concussion territory IMO. Is he playing next week or has he been ruled out with concussion?Looking at the slo mo video I reckon Pickett has every right to appeal especially when Kolowhatever did Higgo and got off.

For those that predicted the "outrage" by Robinson re Lynch then read and be not surprised.
He seems to have a real hatred of anything Richmond.

Strange then that at the weekend, Richmond’s Tom Lynch escaped a penalty for raising an elbow into the face of Hawthorn’s Jarman Impey.

The AFL MRO assessed the incident as: “Lynch takes possession of the loose ball on the wing. Impey approaches to tackle from side on and high contact is made by Lynch on Impey. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that Lynch’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken.’’

So, the MRO is saying it’s not unreasonable to elbow an approaching player in the face if it’s a fend. That is mystifying.

Greene cops Toby Tax and Lynch walks free.

Try to assess the incident from Impey’s angle — he’s running in, knowing he can get to Lynch to tackle him legally and in the next moment, he cannons into the raised elbow of Lynch, has his eye opened up and has to leave the field.

But it wasn’t unreasonable, said the AFL.

The AFL pats itself on the back for all the work it does on concussion research and CTE — a brain disease that has played a part in ex-players taking their own lives — and making the head sacrosanct.

Yet, Lynch was able to use the elbow, one of the most unforgiving weapons used to injure a player, and the AFL says, “play on”.

Just curious to know if there was outrage by Slobbo when DangerFLOG knocked out Vlustuin in the 2020 GF with his elbow. In comparison, Lynch's clumsy fend off was mild and I'm pretty sure Impey played on.

Where was Robbos outcry when Dangerfield knocked out Vlastuin in the 2020 GF? I am pretty sure he used the most unforgiving weapon on that day as well.

geez what is wrong with Robinson?
you'd think after his health scare he might've learned some humility
he kind of undoes his own blither when typing that Impey "cannons into the raised elbow of Lynch"
- meaning Impey ran into Toms arm rather than Tom swinging it as an act of aggression
you'd think Robinson would understand something of the basic principles of football - like protecting possession of the ball ...

Marlion should go into the appeal and offer to drag them across the table and adjust their neck ties for them if they dont let him play.

Unlikely to work but hey ............................................

Fingers crossed he can put a successful appeal in and is cleared to play!! (y)

I can't recall Robinson writing an article on that *smile* sacred cow Selwood when he lined up a bloke last year.
*smile* off Robbo.... those recovery drugs you're on have scrambled what's left of your tiny intellect

Knobbo hates Lynch. I’m sure he had money on him either not leaving the Suns or leaving, but not going to Richmond. Compound that with the fact that his beloved Druggies lost on the weekend and he just had to write this drivel. How his work isn’t dismissed as the ravings of a drunk I don’t understand.

Dimma called Robbo out on his crap about dusty.

Has an axe to grind.

Has a platform.

Pretty pathetic.

Just looked like lynch went to handpass and was pretty much unaware of impey.

Yeah, and when he struggles to construct a coherent sentence how did he get a job as a journo in the first place?
Cos Journos have historically been keen on the tipple and the fags :))

As for journalism the trade the practice the skill the newshound the investigator its pretty much all gone these days.

Supposition, social forum trolling, opinion and biased subjective dross for whatever or whomever is directing the angle and to what intent or outcome, so Robbo ticks those boxes as well.
