I'm still bullish on Syd (and CCJ), Ezy.Its a long road back from buckets of kfc and illegal kebabs
Reckon he'll do a Steve Johnson. Nearly out the door, and becomes a champion player.

Mine is in Christmas wrapping; so the anticipation builds!Has anyone read Marlion's book?
Just finished it. Must admit I had low expectations, but I think it is a wonderful story and I couldn't put it down. Provides a lot more insight into Marlion's life than the TV stories such as Australian Story.
Truly remarkable that he has made it this far. I have even more respect and affection for him and his family.
Based on his career at South Fremantle, I have a feeling he is going to go up a level next year.
Just finished it, It's sure is a great read. I agree that he'll go up another level next year. With a settled life in Melbourne, with no hub, he will shine.Has anyone read Marlion's book?

Same here.Mine is in Christmas wrapping; so the anticipation builds!
Hasn't been upgraded, still officially a rookie. The club clearly has faith. $500k per season for the next two years suggests this.
Just finished the book, but even though I knew the ending and had watched Australian Story, I found the final chapters gripping and hugely emotional. Marlion’s mentors at South Fremantle are inspirational.Hasn't been upgraded, still officially a rookie.
Dual premiership player, 29 next month. Logic says he is deserving of the AFL's average salary, ~$360K.
Not sure what the salary cap rules are concerning a job after football, job for the missus, kids' schooling etc. Anyone have any info on Marlion's list status?

I agree with Dusty that everyone deserves a second chance.

When you are 20 the Strip Joints have a tractor beam stronger than the Death Star ..............................Even if they go to the Rippers and order a Souva?
Surely you can only be so merciful?
I thoroughly enjoyed them all, but I think Houli’s was the best.Having read all 3 tiger books this summer, I think this is the best of the lot. Not going to win any literary awards, but the most interesting and insightful.
We can thank that injured finger.Just finished Marlion's book... an easy read, a great insight into his journey over the last decade, surreally capped off with 3 X AFL/VFL premierships!
