Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Love Marlion but I’d like to see him raise his reactive time, he seems to react very slowly.

Has very good vision and just takes a second too long at times to release, but he certainly can win the footy and strong overhead.

Was his best game this year.

He does actually hurt opponents physically at times.

Though i think he is tough, as most afl players are, it could be an issue of bracing rather than opening the arms and throwing your chest at the player. If you weren't totally comfortable with physical contact, I think an easier option would be to tuck up and take the impact through the upper arms and shoulders. Maybe needs some tackling coaching. Just my thoughts.

Got the family up to the hub. That should help.
The more he plays the more settled he becomes and the more he uses/trusts his teammates

Marlions game viewed live was astonishing.

he runs as hard as Lambert, he goes in as hard as Cotchin, he hits as hard as Grimes, he moves almost as well as Bolton, his overhead game is as good as Castagnes.

he really is an exceptional footballer.

If only he chooses the first option and uses his teammates as well as Jack.
Instead he burns teammates and runs the opposite way as well as George

That kick inside 50 without any pressure sums him up.
He is ok but he has too many deficiencies.
His goal, was a standard snap from 40 but the ball bounced off the moon.

FWIW i think his teamplay will suddenly improve.
ATM he is playing like a guy who needs a new contract, doing it all and trying to showcase everything he can do.
We saw a glorious GF game as a heroic story. Possibly for mr P its feed a mindstory that he didnt deserve it and was carried along for the ride.
Give him time to feel he truly belongs. That he is best 22, doing his role.
Give him time to trust his teammates so that he gives it back.
He has only played 7 games. Get him to 20 and to belong.
It will click and then he will do less and play better

Yeah, looked better, more involved. I reckon he can be better than this so hopefully there is some improvement left. Just needs to adjust to the pace of AFL a little.

Not far off though.

anyone whose thinking of posting incorrect opinions on Marlion's value to our side,

I suggest this little technique to preserve your reputation.

write 'GNORW'

across your forehead in a thick, black permanent marker,

and take a good, hard look at yourself in the mirror

Thanks for this, when I read this I realised I have never seen him play live as I saw the GF from Punt Rd and no games this year.

You see it so differently when you are there.

he really is something.

his work rate, repeat top speeds, collision impacts tonight were all worth the entry fee alone.

he hit a bloke (no34?) on the boundary line right in front of me in the first,

and it was so perfectly timed, you could hear him groan,

and Marlion just sprinted off like he'd been playing with the kids.

and he did it about 3 times.

It early (game 6?) but I reckon he could be pound for pound the toughest Richmond player ive seen

He’ll have to knock out 3 Carlton players in a final to wear that crown although you did qualify it by poundage
