Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

he is one of the toughest Richmond players I can recall seeing.
Love his hardness Easy, love just about all aspects of his game , however I’m still jury out if he will just be what he is now or can he be a top 10 player for us , I think it’s time for a biggy , 25 silky touch’s and a couple of snags to go along with 12 tackles

Agree
As much as we loved it at the time - we don't want him to be remembered as a one hit wonder (meaning the GF i.e. no pun intended)

It'll be a bit harder for him to dominate with our midfield champs out, but each game at the level will make him better. Rare determination and grit shown by Marlion so far. He is not that far away from settling in as a weapon for us.

Must admit it frustrates me at times when he chooses to try and bump rather than tackle. As an aside the Heeney hit was a beauty.
I would prefer he wrap someone up if given the chance.
First game back both he and Stack were flying around like pork chops trying to bump.
Tackle first unless its a clear hit ala Viney.

Can't see him being a top 10 player for us Mr B but certainly see him being a regular role player for us.

I will give him something, he broke everyone he touched.
Pity he only touched 2 of them only.
What's with the 'Nathan Bower' cloud poppers kicks??

I thought he was decent given the garbage game. He might have only had 1 disposal in the first half, but he kept Parker quiet and flattened Heeney, Clarke and McLean, before becoming productive in the second half.

That keeps his place in the side I reckon.

I need to watch the vision again but I thought there was zero high contact. I think he hit him fair and square shoulder to shoulder. Heeney’s head jolted but not from high contact from what I recall. I specifically looked for it in the replay. If that’s the case let’s contest it against Anti-Football League. Are they saying that any bump or tackle that a player lays onto any part of another player’s body that causes the head to holt, nod, bobble, move off its neutral axis is now deemed high contact and illegal??
I am starting to think that soccer is more physical and exciting than the remnants of our beloved game. Physical because you can bump an opponent off the ball and more exciting because I can see similar goal scores in a shorter game time.

Anyone got any vision?? Maybe I am wrong but I deadset thought it was shoulder to shoulder contact.
You can see the vision on AFL site, or could. I'm with you; looked at it closely couple of times but can't be sure there was any head contact. But did Rohan get a $1000 fine too? He appeared to definitely go high.
Meanwhile Selwood gets off scot-free for a swinging elbow into Birchall's face. Of course, AFL have swept it very quickly under the carpet. But Bitchall copped a fine for hitting back with a love-tap to his chest.

Takes to long to get rid of the ball, gets away with it now and then but it is not a trait that will stand up to AFL.

Yes, that is clearly an area he needs to improve, often tries to do too much which is not working at AFL level.

It is an adjustment but one he needs to make.

Yep, that is a total joke, where is the media bleating about this??

you only need to be a top 22 player at richmond

but yeah I'd like to see a GF performance every week!

For his faults, he is one of those bony, pointy, hard hitting hombres.... I really used to hate playing guys like him... they genuinely hurt you when they get you flush

Meh, possession numbers don’t matter much. 2016-2017 proved that.

Pickett hurts the opposition and is classy most of the time he touches it.

Outside the top 10 players on the list, my favourite type of flaw is “if he just got a bit more of the ball, he’d be a star!”.

An improved effort tonight.
Wonder why he has a tendency to want to bump opposition players instead of laying a tackle.
