He’s nearly been worst on ground in each of his last few finals.Daniel saves his best for finals
would drop George before Daniel
I’ve seen him limping during some games. Maybe there were more issues than just a metatarsal fracture. I’m only hypothesizing thoughI know that's a popular theory but I'm quite skeptical about it.
I believe he had a metatarsal fracture, and while they can be problematic, they tend to be more of an issue when stress related as opposed to an impact injury like Rioli had.
If he had ongoing issues with it though, I'm certain he would have missed more footy and had more surgery to stabilise the foot. Once he had recovered he has barely missed any games at all and trains as normal so the evidence just doesn't indicate any ongoing problem.
Maybe not the injury is to blame it is a clear marker in his loss of impact or form in general.I know that's a popular theory but I'm quite skeptical about it.

Ellroy likes a nada after a bubkes. You'd probably like him, Riddles. American Tabloid is very good.Considering I had to google him I’m afraid I can’t say yay or nay, Jack!
So the predicted synergy of two Riolis in one side only applies in the seniors.Watch the last few minutes. Maurice was in the packs and chasing hard to spoil and tackle, Daniel was skirting the packs hoping for the ball to come out. I seriously believe his heart's not in it.
Thanks for the tip Jack will check him out.Ellroy likes a nada after a bubkes. You'd probably like him, Riddles. American Tabloid is very good.
It's as if Dimma has coached the Rioli out of Rioli. He's a completely different player to the one who kicked goal of the year early in his first year. He's been programmed to be a chase and pressure player (which has contributed to 3 flags) and has lost all ability ro attack and create. I watch him and I see a confused player that second guesses everytime he goes near the ball.
This is true.. watch his 2016 and 2017 highlights and you see a completely different player. A confident player with ball in hand. It's as if Dimma has coached the Rioli out of Rioli. He's a completely different player to the one who kicked goal of the year early in his first year.
Yes, Dan struggled to win back to back premiership medals immediately after this. It's interesting to note that Dan's gone down hill since 2018. It was that year that Cyril lost interest in the AFL and returned home. I wonder how close those two were, and how much Cyril's departure has affected Dan's ability to deal with the demands of professional footy.
Sure. But individually he hasn't improved as a player since 17. Apart from the 'defensive pressure' hypothesis nobody seems to know what he brings to the team these days. He was pretty average even in the VFL yesterday.Yes, Dan struggled to win back to back premiership medals immediately after this.
I am not into bagging players but I think he is really out of form. He hardly ever gets the ball and when he does he makes bad decisions.we laugh at the media when they keep referring to possessions as key & cant work out how we win.
Then we bag players when they don't get multiple possessions
I don’t think this applies when Rioli has been dropped 4 times this year. The club don’t seem enamoured with his output this year either.we laugh at the media when they keep referring to possessions as key & cant work out how we win.
