Welcome to the Tigers - Daniel Rioli

Surely out with soreness.

He has been through the wars this year. The GWS hit would’ve had any other small out for 3 years and last nights effort was again a bone breaker.
Extremely important player for us. Needs a break

Doesn’t do enough. Reputation greater than output IMO.

Man that’s a harsh call - he could hardly walk last night and was still able to contribute. Did you not see the bump last night, I was surprised he was even able to get back on the park ffs.

And re reputation - any player that’s stands up and wins us or any team a preliminary final of his own boot is deserving of a reputation.

He IS already a star at his very young age

No over his career. Doesn’t do enough.

He ain’t a star. It’s a term that gets thrown around waaaaay too much.

I know he was battered last nite, but he just NEVER looks 100%. Always looks a little proppy or sore or limping, and always looks like there's something wrong with him.

He is NOT a star (not yet anyway). A guy who has cemented his spot in the best 22 of a very good side over the past 2 years, but he is not in our best 12 players. Needs to do a lot more to be in that conversation.

Wasn't right coming into this game; maybe not since the GWS hit. Was the (barely) walking wounded last night. So desperate for a good forward we had to bring him back when he was bruised and battered. Let's hope we're not doing more damage.

Agree with Tobes overall. Fine young player, potential champion but far too early to call him that yet. Long way to go in his career, but a very good young player. It's better not to get carried away. Think some of our guys have got ahead of themselves (though not including DR).

Needs to be carefully looked after. His cousin was star but not the most robust player. Didn't look like he should have started last night.

Who decides whether Dan continues to play after an injury.

Clearly, he’s very brave and wants to continue playing, but I feel most uncomfortable about the number of Richmond players who continue playing after apparently serious injuries. Dan was in terrible pain one minute and then back on the ground in next to no time, with bandages and presumably an effective painkiller.

Not happy about this approach.....eg Astbury, Jack, Vlastuin, Dan Butler (last year)

We all remember the damage done to Mark Coughlan and Nathan Foley, who were also very brave

Agree. He consistently doesn’t do enough. Absolutely love the guy, but he shouldn’t still be in the “glimpses” stage of his career at year 4.
