Might be making a few mistakes but willing to put them out there that this kid will be a gun in a few years.
Thrown to the wolves early but will ok...
Plenty of others to worry about first, than a second year player.

Would prefer to play him in the Dreamtime game and see how he performs. Would like to see him get a bit of "big game" experience this Saturday night.
If he drops off then it might be time for him to go back to the VFL to re-group for a couple of games or so.

Maybe this week.
Rioli has already missed although he was injured in round 2 and had family issues round 9. CEllis was out this week because of general soreness. I think they may do the same with Menadue as many clubs do.tigertim said:

Been doing much more of that in last few games , prior to that he d dish off like a hot spud and the jury was out for me . Needs to continue to improve , I reckon he will. Yes he could do with a spell, Ellis, conca, broad and marcon all in the wings

For his own sake he needs a spell. Club doing his development more harm than good IMO.
Blakely just had 22 disposals (15 contested), 15 effective disposals, only 2 clangers. So his skills were fine. Also 6 clearances, 6 inside 50's and 7 tackles all in only 62% GT. If he played for us I'd amaze a what an awesome game he just played for a 2nd year player.

Agree. Was impressed at how hard at it he was, in awful conditions that really didn't suit a player of his streaky build and mostly outside skill-set at this stage. Seem to cop a knock late in 3rd Q. Switched off then so not sure how he finished up.
