Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

I'm reading tea leaves Zips. He'll be back to play inside, in 3 weeks, if he stays fit.

lol, games aren't handed out? At Richmond? Haha. I do agree though and have been saying for a couple of weeks, he needs a rest. He was great early in the season but he's light framed and doesnt seem to be handling the body contact well atm. Will be fine just needs a break. I check pressure acts every week and he is always up there in that area, he has a great work ethic which will allow him to go far.

At least he is willing to put his head over the ball. Houli has made an artform of avoiding putting his head over the ball for 6 years.

Yeah we really have our trust in Hartley. ::)
In this case he was most probably right seeing the kid is built like a stick insect. But if you have decided that everything that everyone who is associated with the RFC says or does is wrong then it doesn't really matter does it?

Yes it does matter FFS, we see everything is wrong after seven bloody years. Can't you see it? The entire football department on & off field needs a complete overall, including a shake up at board level. If this was a company listed on the stock exchange (thank Allah it isn't) then we'll be in liquidation.

Stick to the point and stop ranting. There are plenty of other threads for ranting about the team performance.

The conversation is about Connor Menadue and his development. Developing as expected I would think given his physical attributes. Looks a good prospect to me but I am not against a spell in the 2s if his body is getting beaten up too much.

You are the one that went off topic and asked me the the question, "But if you have decided that everything that everyone who is associated with the RFC says or does is wrong then it doesn't really matter does it"?

I answered your question. :'(

Don't think Hollywoods is there anymore.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

I know it is off-topic, but it was a few weeks ago when I went past. Has been all jazzed up too!

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Massively overrated around these parts.

Shows something but is miles behind Ellis & Rioli.

Would send back to the VFL for a month.

Look at the context of the question. What I suggested is that doesn't matter to you if Blair Hartley is right or wrong about Menadue taking 3 years as he predicted because you have decided that everything that anyone at RFC does or says is wrong.
That seemed to be a cue to you to go into a rant about the last 7 years and a review of the whole football department.
Whether the footy Dept needs to be changed has nothing to do with the topic of whether it is reasonable to expect Connor Menadue to take time to physically develop as was expected.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

He'll go back the VFL. When Mr Damien 'Doesn't Play The Kids' Hardwick has another kid ready to take his spot. Did we have five teenagers out there last night? Thank god Dimma doesn't play the kids, we mighta got massacred.

I've watched a bit of Weller this year and there's no doubt who is the superior player, same type but one will be as damaging as Hill in a few years.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

At the moment he is looking to dispose of the footy immediately. He needs to take the game on and use his elite speed and skills.
We will see a different players once he begins to attack when he gets the footy.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

interesting game from Men are Due tonight.

Showed glimpses of text book swooping wingmanship and glimpses that hed been reading 'how to dispose the ball' by T.Hunt.

Certainly keep playing the kid.

agree. we asked for speed, and we got some. I reckon him and dannyboy could quinella the GF sprint if you could enter two blokes. but you cant.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Yeah, just keep playing Menadue. Reckon he might have something to offer, but we will never find out if he spends too much time in the VFL team.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

His kicking has come off a bit from early in the season. Maybe carrying a leg injury?

Nevertheless, agree, must continue to be given games
