Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

In the right environment under a good coach he could be a great player.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Say it again, kid is the very best of our draftees from the past 4 inductions.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

I don't always agree with ya LD, and I downright disagree on Cotch. But this right here is 100% spot on. Injury forbidding Connor will end up somewhere around the Nigel Lappin quality. I could dig that.

In terms of a priori anger Menadue reminds me of Boomer.

Nigel Lappin what a gun. Most underrated player in last 20 years. If he can be anything like Lappin I would be stoked.

His better then Lappin because he is already standing out in a very ordinary team.
He Runs like a gazelle, kicks beautifully and has good hands

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

would like to see him tuck the ball under the arm and run. somehow think its being handbraked out of him

Good work Zips. You sure have jinxed him today.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Showing his inexperience today. Does a couple of nice things but then panics. Sh!t happens but he will come right in his career

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

he is having a go, more than you could say for grigg and houli

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Keep giving him games. He will get there.

Hasn't got many good role models out there today.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Had a bad game, but it's not his fault he is surrounded by butchers

Yep - must stay in the side and keep trying to take the game on. It won't work every time but this bloke shows something that augurs well for the future.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

This kid was awesome today. He made what, 20 *smile* ups? Against overwhelming odds this skinny child ran up and down that oval 50 times at full speed. He made a million mistakes because he was gassed. And he went again.

After Connor Menadue had busted his balls for the Richmond Football Club and could no longer raise a gallop, Mr Damien Hardwick sent our lad back to mind that bludging reputation Milera, who had a full tank. They'll meet again. My money is on Connor.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Took off with Rory Sloane having a hand on his back.

Took five steps, had two meters and pulling away.

Was awful today but that was a glimpse.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Want to see as many games as possible put into Menadue.
Drop him back to the VFL side only if physical fatigue becomes a significant concern.
He will make mistakes but also, like many other posters, he will provide far more opportunities through skilful play.
There were players out there on the field today with more than 100 and 150 games experience who made as many if not more mistakes that Menadue.
