Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Looking forward to seeing Menadue in action at the G this Friday night.
It's very early days, but he did show something against Carlton that seems to have piqued the interest and attention of a number Tiger followers.

Agree Hazy Days...Very smart footballer as well.
Runs to a lot of the right positions when we are on the attack as well..Very good feelings about young Connor.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Is it just me or does he have a bit of the young Fyfe in him

Met Fyfe at a football clinic in his first year and he was built like CM as well..Absolute pull through and I could not believe he would be big enough for AFL..
Shows how much a few years in the system can do..CM will fill out ok I rekon.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Nigel Lappin clone. Hope he can keep building and take games on with his run and carry.

Yes - this is the part of his game that I like most.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Young Connor has made a few blues tonight. Well, he had to make a few eventually. But you can see that he's heating up now, notwithstanding playing sensible in one conspicuous moment at CHB. But he lifted again after that.

An interesting half looms for our young leader. But you know what they say - Cometh the hour cometh the Connor.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Had an OK game but was conspicuously knocked off the ball in several contests in the last. The price you pay for fielding kids with immature frames.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Like this bloke. Should play every game this year please Dimma.

That's oldskool. Nice to hear your voice again, brother. I reckon even Dimma has heard. ;D

This. Another highlight.
I want Hardwick gone well before he destroys Connor's game too.

Was thinking this ToO. Enjoy this iteration of Son of Sarah while he lasts, because it'll eventually be stifled into middlingness.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Thought he was pretty composed all night. I like his growth potential.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Coming on really well. Catching the eye of the commentators now too. Has loads of potential, hopefully will be able to fulfil it.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

What is under-estimated with Menadue is his pressuring. Once again he ended up with 17 pressure acts, second most for the Tigers. He has this uncanny knack of being able to smother opposition kicks and now I know why. His pressure creates the implied pressure when opposition knows he is near. Most pressure acts btw was Lambert. These two guys are worth their weight in gold, it's the unheralded things they do that is so important.

Love his composure.Give him 50 games and look out!
