Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Not capable of playing the Short role because he doesn't have that great foot skills, his decision making is just okay and his team mates don't see him as being that type of player. You've rightly banged on about disposal efficiency % being a terrible stat to judge effectiveness but now you want to wrap up Menadue for having a high percentage of stat you don't value. Menaude has less score involvements, less rebound 50's, gets less of the ball, turns it over more than short but you want to take about how good he is with the ball? And these averages include a game Short played 4 minutes of. For a bloke who can sprint it should translate to run and carry, aggressive game breaking runs. It's just not happening at AFL level after five years but you talk of keeping him another 2 years and think he'll play a 100 games? Needs another 65 games to get to 100. Would need to be on the list for another 4 years at least to get to that. Can't have it. That's Richmond of old stuff keeping a guy that long.

And we are as bad a situation as possible injury wise and he is in and out of the side. Basically player 30 on the list after five years. And not getting better at AFL level, not to fussed if he is an VFL star, if he can't do that in the big boys games, it's not much use. Once Short is back, watch Shedda go back to his forward of centre role and we will have some real weapons coming out of the back half. But not with Menadue, he's peaked and is keeping the seat warm.

Be very very surprised if Short goes back upon return Scoop. Or if he does, not lasting long.

Won't play Stack, Houli and Short in the same backline. Even with Edwards out.

Stack has taken his role. He'll have to move up the ground to get a game ILHO.

Short will take Ellis role

Short won’t make a difference. Both Ellis and Short are similar. Massive jibbers
Fingers crossed Ellis leaves and we hopefully get some sort of compo.
Fingers crossed some stupid club thinks Short is a quality half back and we get a pick under 50.

What happened to Conor today? An outstanding game showcasing the talent he has hidden for so long. I have been a critic of him for so long but today he may well have got me and many others rooting for him. We now need to see the new Conor every match

That's the kid I thought we drafted. Outstanding performance. A lot different to what he's showed before. Sometimes we just have to back a kid in.

Just needs a run of games. He will adapt to the level and be the player we thought he would be, play him all year now.
