Traditionalists think that night should be reserved for the husband and the priest, BT.
 
Probally not quite ready, however if this was 2016, he would have played 11 games by now, imho has the smartest footy brain of all the amigos. Think he'll start as a small forward and end up pushing into a midfield role

Apart from rewarding him by letting him know he is very close for call up, maybe it is because it now means he can be the game day emergency?
Gets a taste of all the seniors pre game routine.
If not required, will definitely help prepare for his first gig, nerves wise.
