Welcome Sam Banks

You can see what he’s capable of, that dashing run and carry back flanker.
I’ll be interested to see how many went to a target or were they all the usual long kicks to no one in particular?
Can kick a long ball but to succeed at higher level he has to lower his eyes and hit targets.

Why doesn’t Yze give him a go at Daniel’s role and then see what Daniel can provide us with playing as a quick, speedy midfielder with good delivery ?

Picked the wrong weeek to play his best game for the year did Sammy.

Martin be back in next week ahead of him possibly Lynchy as well.

Dont know if they will find a spot for him maybe Sonsie or McAuliffe will get dropped or Prestia miss with his calf.

Some of the kicks were superb, goal from the centre was a beauty. Looked to show more urgency tonight.

I like Banks and have high hopes for him, but I hope they don't elevate him just yet. I think we need to be pushing for players who go back to the VFL to dominate for a number of weeks, we need to teach them to show that they are way above that level IMO.

Its why I want Dow to go back, learn what he's learnt in the AFL, add transition and go and absolutely dominate at that level which he hasn't really done before. Sonsie goes back to VFL level and gets 30, McAuliffe the same, need Dow to show that he can do the same and similar with Banks. Maybe not 37 again, but go and get another 25 next week against Box Hill and show he can back it up.

Not sure if there was a slight game plan change or instructions to kick to banks

But i did notice players deliberately passing it to him to distribute and kick it to a better option

In my days we used to call it " He got fed"

Played a good game and even if the above was the case thats stiill good as they trust him with the ball and must have a high footy IQ

Don't know where that came from, has looked very average last few weeks.
Posted on the VFL thread. Taken off after 3 quarters in the last 2 weeks before this one. He had a heavy concussion so I wonder if he hasn’t been quite right
