We can trade 10 rather than 9 and promise WC we wont take Allen with 9.
Suits both with a WA kid.
Assuming we get the fair trades done for rioli and bolton
Then..i would go hard into this years 1st round
Id say for west coke to give up pick 3 (2234 points) we need to pay little over to secure the gun kid at 3
So if we are happy with 13 for baker then
Baker (1212)
Pick 10 (1395)
Pick 29 (653) or simlair something
Its just good business
West coke will get baker a decent kid at 10 keep 13 and decent kid at 29 keeps supprters very happy
We now have

Could easily package 6 with GCS lukosius for the crows pick

Then all picks beyond 21 need to be traded up into hopefully a F1 or 2 F2 next year.

West Coast at the end of the day could say pick 22 for baker we think thats fair. At the end of the day just to get it done for something, anything we will take it.
What planet are people on we hold no aces in his deal. We hope wce deal in good faith on this one but they will not be offering up the kitchen sink.
From reading artIcles a lot seem to think he is worth pick 15 - 18. If we get 12 for him and wce want a decent sweetner say 29 then you would do it.
Its laughable that we think they are giving up pick three in almost any circumstance.
We start our rebuild this year we want picks because that is where we are at. West coast are not dissimilar. By the time they challenge again it could be 5 years just play finals what good to them will Baker be then.
We desperately need to hit the next two drafts so if people dont trade Bolton or Rioli what do we do to get the badly needed picks we desperately need.
Nothing, hang onto them their value is not going up it will only go down.

Probably depends how much they rate whoever is left on the board who I suspect will be Draper/Lalor
Why the *smile* would we be throwing pick 29 in with Bakes and pick 10 to get pick 3 off Wet Coke???? Have we suddenly become the local footy charity or something? According to your valuations there, we're handing out over 3200 points worth of draft value for just over 2200 points of return. Bakes n 10 is in Wet Cokes favour n well keep the change for our own purposes.
This deal will get done and we will be well satisfied with the result. We have Rioli, but we also have something they desperately need, cap space. Once in a generation chance for a rich club like us to buy a better draft pick, just by paying a chunk of Dans wage.
For GC that’s the equivalent of being able to keep kids like Andrews, Anderson and Rowell.
And rarely do you get a chance to buy your way up the draft order.

Points are absolutely meaningless unless you need them to match a bid.
If we can trade a bunch of 30s and 40s picks for 1 or 2 top 20 picks and it means we lose a bunch of points we will do it and we will be better off for doing it.
The way i see it these are acceptable options for Baker
Baker + 10 for picl#3
Baker + #39 for pick #13 (Barrass pick) - My preferred option
Baker for #23 +F2
Bolton
Must be atleast #9 + #10 and if they want salary contribution plus another pick
Rioli
We must go for the jugular here and make sure its the 1st deal done before shai
#6 + #12 with Salary paid 50%
Points for Brisbane's 1st rounder #15 - #29 , #47 , #41 , #66 = 1500 points

I like you taking an actual ruck there's also supposed to be a brilliant one next year I forget the name. That's a great haul of skill brutality and pace.
Everyone has us trading all our players for draft picks this year. I don't see it or understand why we wouldn't bank some good picks for next year as well. I still see us grabbing a higher draft pick for points from our lower selections (otherwise acquiring them last year was just a waste).
This year's top 25 is all rated highly.
Apprantly next year it isn't as deep.
