Welcome Josh Gibcus

Each to their own. His flags don't mean he doesn't justify copping criticism my point. Some here reckon his untouchable.

Nothing wrong with criticism if you get it right.
Its fairly common for AFL head coaches to travel in the preseason.
In this AFL article from Feb 2019 Dimma went to the UK.
Of course he went to Harvard in the US in the preseasons prior to 17 and 18.
Three years in a row he wasnt 100% at preseason!!
instead in Feb 2019 he was overseas and not investing in the footy club. The same action you are criticising now.

And by my count the article lists 8 other coaches who were on overseas learning programs during preseason.
And chris scott who just didnt turn up and had extra holidays instead.

DAMIEN Hardwick has returned to Punt Road armed with a fresh approach to inspiring his team after being granted leave to attend a leadership course in London over the past fortnight.
Hardwick relinquished the reins to his assistants on the training track as he travelled to the UK for further personal development.

Must admit to be a bit concerned about Josh and his injury.
Long season ahead, and he has suffered a major injury.
Sure, he seems fit enough now, but can't help wondering if he will see the season out without the injury manifesting itself again.
Maybe I am just being a worry wart!!

100% Dimma had checked out long before he left.
The lack of fitness.
The medical room made some very ordinary decisions.
If the Boss is not 200% invested it shows....and it did at Tigerland in 2023.

Yeah I disagree but anyway isnt it time to talk about Godcus and stop potting Dimma?

Josh Gibcus joined the defenders for line drills as he pushes to return to senior football after a complex hamstring injury derailed his entire 2023 season.

Broad called the 20-year-old a “freak” as he began to ramp up his training amid great caution from Richmond.

“He’s a freak, Gibby, he’s tall, he’s quick, he’s fit. He’s probably ready to go at the moment, but just with the past history and where he’s been at, we don’t want to push it,” he said.

“He came and joined in a couple of back(line) things today and the boys got around him … he’s going to be a great player for the future.”

In answer to your question. Dimma coached us to 3 flags deserves all the accolades that come with that. Hardly potting the guy. The coach is responsible to present the team in a fully fit professional condition. he didn't do his job. not potting him. it happens in all forms of Elite management.... when you become stale it's better for both parties to part ways. We can disagree on this I don't have any axe to grind.
