Welcome Josh Gibcus

The curse is well and truly awake again, after briefly falling asleep between 2017 - 2020.

And oh how I look forward to a return to the good old days, when the club was cursed with bad luck stories, and were mediocre in all facets of the game

The days when we could wallow in self pity, and when the headlines would read “listless” “pathetic” and “embarrassing”

It kind of feels like returning home to be honest.

The wreak of *smile*, is descending once again upon punt road, and it feels like being reunited with an old friend.
This news has triggered me too. Too much past trauma.

He's running at 80% and Lynch is out of his moon boot now.
Have to look at the positives.

Mate, no idea how old you are, but an old friend to me was when I was a kid in the 1970s and we won premierships.

The lost years don't feel like an old friend, the 2017-2020 period is the old friend I want to be re-acquainted with.

Yeah but you are a Tiger supporter.
i dont think everyone is, at least not on PRE.

Wallowing in the past and claiming the club is a mess. And trying to skip over the glorious 17-20 (and the buildup from 2013 on tbh). Its a tell

Michael Mitchell retired due too many concussions.
Michael Gale shoulder issues
Tony Free never recovered from his knee ACL
Couglan knees issues
Scotty Turner Knee issues
Justin Charles hamstring issues
Nat brown never the same after snapping his leg in half.

95 season got smashed with season ending injuries to the spine.

Grimes probably the only opposite example can think of.

He might get back but this kid looked like he was going to jump over tall buildings with vice like hands. That explosive leap was his one wood. There must be massive question marks on his future to the point where they'll be planning alternatives in case a miracle doesn't eventuate.

Would be fascinating to know what those plans might be of course.

Below was said about Koschitzke in his draft year, maybe that is why we are getting him or at least another potential swingman to re-arrange the magnets?

Koschitzke is among the best key position prospects in this draft especially as a defender

You don't play footy at 85% running capacity, after being out for the year with his hammy that piece of info is pretty irrelevant, he has gotten to 85% several times this year only to falter.
Geez I hope they find the solution.

Thats true Caesar but on the recovery road you need to pass through 85% to get to 100%.

I know we are all feeling a bit flat on reading his hamstring update but Grimes and Astbury showed that the club can find a way if there is a way to get players back on the park.

I guess Gibscus holds our future rebuild in his hands and Lynch and Lynch our immediate prospects.

About 2,100 klms and a few countries away I think Tomato Scoop.
Still too close for comfort. But your probably right.

Gee I would like Gibcus to coming year 3 with 40 odd games under his belt instead of going to Qatar.

Such a waste of a year.

Wonder if Gibcus still went to Qatar after the issues in the middle East?
Just watching a quote from the Israeli opposition leader.... reckons they need to go after Hamas in Lebanon, Malaysia and Qatar:oops:
