Welcome Jacob Blight

Had a good magoos game, as per Gray I'll be happy to see him get settled into the magoos, do a full pre season and then show what he's got during next year. Got me a feeling that if either of the newbies get thrown into the seniors this year that there'll be nuffers just hovering over their keyboards n waiting for them not to be stars so that they can start on the dismantling process asap.

He can certainly mark. He fumbled ground balls a couple of times. A weakness? Does he have enough toe to close down a forward on a lead? Or will he just be a designated intercept goalkeeper?

For someone who just got off the plane, moved across the country and just met his teammates it was an amazing performance. Not just because he marked the ball well (9 marks?), but how settled he looked. Very impressive.

Watching him closely t the game he reads the ball really early and gets to position. There has been some talk of “Rance-like” but the only Rance comparison that I saw was his two fisted spoil.

Astbury was very slow. Not a problem if your role is to man up the gorillas.
Blight may be just what we need..even up forward if he is a big goal square target.

No! The season is lost - the side is the walking wounded and the club is forced through injuries to play footballers who will never be quality AFL players and have been in the system now for 2 and 3 years. Shocking selections.

Let this young man learn his trade in the VFL and build up his tank, knowledge of the game plans and his confidence followed by a strong preseason and unleash him in 2025.

Is McGovern fast? That's the sort of role that he needs to make his own.
