Welcome Jacob Blight

Liked his SEN interview. He sounds an intelligent level headed committed player who always has the eye on improving. With that attitude, no doubt he will have success at our club. Will be interested in seeing how he tracks in the coming months. Another WA player in our group so if he matches the others then he will do well

I don't care if he can't read his own name
As long he can take a contested mark I don't give a toss if his level headed or a nut case.

the three Jacobs now holding our full back line in VFL
Lucky they’re not the full forward line. Nobody could see their numbers and they wouldn’t know who to kick it to.
Imagine the “kick to Jake, he’s free” :giggle: Unless Georgie boy was still playing he’d manage to hit all three at once

There’s something about players who get there the long way round.

They want it more.
You’d certainly think they had to work harder for an opportunity. Desperate to succeed and take nothing for granted. Want it more than a lot of kids who expect or believe they’re entitled to it because of their junior record.
Different game in the big league, for most anyway.

Take Lambert and Pickett for example. Oh Lambo, gee I still miss that bloke.

Not all make it and usually they have deficiencies. But get them young enough with the “want to succeed” attitude, it’s a big start.
