Week 1 --- 2019 --- The Other Finals !

I think their game plan is also pretty useless in the home and away season also, not just finals.

Reckon Port or Hawks would have put up a better fight last night.

Their game plan relies on risk taking. Precision passing/witching into the corridor. You turn it over it's a score to the opposition almost every time. In finals the pressure increases and we saw that last night, turnover after turnover under pressure building into perceived pressure as the game wore on. May still be a while before Essendon win another final. They don't have the cattle. They've built their game plan on flashy, inconsistent, unreliable players perfectly highlighted by two of their recruits Shiel and Stringer. Fantasia, Tippa, Zaharakis. Probably picked up another just like that in Mosquito. Their captain Heppell can get disposals but can't hurt the opposition with those disposals. They're just no good.

McGrath stands out in that team like donkey balls. Only bloke with any semblance of composure under pressure.

Deledio named for GWS in what could be his 275th and final game. Or it could set the stage for another final against Richmond.

GWS win this. Gut feeling. When the dogs flogged GWS a few weeks ago, they had a sh!tload of players out and they will underestimate them.

I like them this week, too. Some excellent "ins". They are +2.23 years per player which is a big difference in a final.

Dogs are the youngest finals team since Carlton 2010; half haven't played in a final before. This is almost a line in the sand moment for the Giants. Expecting a torrid affair.

Torn. What do I do, who I support for tonight and Saturday day.

Collingwood vs Geelong.
Dislike both teams.
Buckley for copying everything Richmond.
Scott just cause I don’t like him and his lack of respect of us back in 2017 and the things he said when we won the flag. Beating his Cats in the 2017 final has truly effected him.

So can I call a nil all draw, extra time, smash each other but then that could open a gate for WC to progress to a PF.

Tossing the coin and with much heartburn the Cats to see the Pies vs WC and have them relive the GF with the same result.

Dogs vs GWS.
Dislike the plastic GWS.
Dogs had their flag and I was barracking for them but that generosity now has finished as I can’t stand the over the top love for them. It’s now or never for GWS and their forward line might kick enough goals to get them over the line as I think GWS backs should restrict the Dogs kicking a winning score. I hoping they reverse the flogging they got from the Dogs weeks ago.

Hope they are both better games than last nights horror show.

That would have scared kids what Essendon served up.

Only two teams in it who we haven't beaten this year, Geelong and Bulldogs. So I'm barracking for their opponents for the sake of my confidence.

We had a makeshift side in against Geelong and it wasn't a game I thought we could win. Missing a few against the Dogs also, but they really deconstructed us. That was as comprehensive a loss as we've had in the last three years, St.Kilda game included.

Yep, reckon GWS will get over the line.

Thought West Coast looked pretty sharp.

Given we wil beat Brisbane in Melbourne I reckon they are our biggest challenge for the flag at this point.

The Yarraville under 12’s would look sharp against Essendon.
They’re a bottom 6 side.
Did you miss the hawthorn game at the same venue 15 days ago?

Same. I reackon the Dogs are being over-hyped.

No way they're being over hyped. Regardless of GWS injuries they pumped them by 60+. Smashed Bombers by 100+ that was ruthless. Lost to Lions at the Gabba by only 3 goals after giving them a big head start and beat Geelong at Marvel in Round 16. Their form is sound and I reckon they'll baat GWS who have been in pretty average form

I thought they looked sharp, however they had no resistance at all from Essendon. I doubt they’ll have it that easy next week whoever they play. Their form will be better judged on next week.

It's great that either Geelong or Collingwood have to lose and risk going out in straight sets, but gee it is hard to stomach that one of them has to win.

Yeh I reckon the GWS will be more desperate than they've ever been. If they fail here hard to see them being successful with the bulk of this group.
