Week 1 --- 2019 --- The Other Finals !

Thought West Coast looked pretty sharp.

Given we wil beat Brisbane in Melbourne I reckon they are our biggest challenge for the flag at this point.
That was not even home and away style intensity. Awful by the bombers, played right into the eagles hands. We've seen their best at the G, can only hope we get them in a prelim or GF, have little doubt we would increase the margin, wet or dry.

It's great that either Geelong or Collingwood have to lose and risk going out in straight sets, but gee it is hard to stomach that one of them has to win.
Would be more than happy for both sides to flog the suitcase out of one another. A nil all draw n then some high pressure extra time thrown in for good measure, something that will have a cumulative effect through later games.
The way we've been playing since the bye reminds me very much of 2017 so I really don't care who we front up too. We play our game we'll be extremely hard to stop regardless of who we meet.

I'm disgusted in myself for admitting this....but I will be hoping for a Collingwood win.

Not because I hate Geelong more than Collingwood, but because I hate Chris Scott and his constant whining and bad sportsmanship so much that even Collingwood are tolerable by comparison.

I honestly think that the mental fragility displayed by Scott and Fagan/Cameron will deeply affect their respective teams.

I fully expect Geelong and Brisbane to have shockers this week.

what will Geelong's approach be tonight? Fast ball movement and go the corridor? They have used this style in the past to great effect. Or will they try a pressure game and wait for turnovers? Either way, I'm all aboard the cats express . Just hope I don't jinx them.

Scott was on the wireless this arvo saying something like don’t judge us on this finals campaign, we will be better next year. Anyone catch the full thing? Sounded like he’d given up already. An incredible thing for a coach to say just before their first final.

That’s been his message all week - very strange if you ask me and I guess it’s because in the first half of the season they were streaks ahead of everyone else and since then we (lions and us) have actually court up and have finished equal first.

Haaarrrgh! They'll be even better next year with Duckwood, Scablett, Tommyhawk, Harry n Danger all deteriorating with age n Kelly perhaps not there. Who's gunna elevate their 2020 for them Doll house n the Ginger phhhht.
Salty must be livin in the premier league where it's all about who finished on top at the end of the home and away.

He said that really? Bizarre thing to say when there is no guarantee you get another shot (see Adelaide). Although i guess if you say it every year then you will never be sacked.

Agreed. Will hope for the Cats to win as I would rather anyone winning than the Mudpies.

I'm on the pies tonight can't stand Salty Scott and the smugness of Clangerfield. Harry Taylor is the only cat I respect. Hopefully a few corkies and calfs injuries for both sides to be the icing on the cake

Best case scenario is Cats win, collingwood loses to WC next week, we beat WC in prelim then Cats on Grand Final day.

Imagine scotty’s presser after that!

Hypothetical, but if west coast had beat the hawks as expected ,

We would be playing Geelong tonight in the rain at the g .

How did they clear NitNat?
Seriously Soldo got a week for accidentally bumping into a player.
The comp is full of shhiit.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Know so many x players who, when asked about the AFL, now use the word “corrupt “ in unison.
Can’t understand how anyone could justify the verdict. And please don’t use the outcome. I’m astounded

I still feel sick about that, especially seeing these Scums easily walk into a top 4.

C'mon Cats!

Both teams look the same on TV. Can someone tell me again why Collingwood isn't wearing a clash strip?
