Week 1 --- 2019 --- The Other Finals !

Worsfold might get the heave ho but can see Essendon being even worse under anotther coach. The Essendon weighted media just keep on over rating their list.

The list is rubbish. 9-10 winning season at best and that all depends on the draw.
Rutten will gone quicker then knighter

Another year without a finals win. Sheedy is still the only Essendon coach to win a final since 1968. fifty one years and still counting.

They might bring him back and Ramankas

I think West Coast will knock over next week either Geelong or Collingwood.

This is such an amazing stat for such a big club.
The last person other than Sheedy to coach Essendon to a finals win died 18 years ago.

8th oldest team finished 8th, i.e. treading water.

Solid core of 23-27yo's; only Hooker among their mainstays might be fading (nearly 31).

Daniher is the key to this group; he tranforms their forward line. If his future is looking dicey then they may as well trade while he has currency. But get him right and I can easily see them finishing higher next year.

Hope so

I am really torn between wanting the salty cats to crash out in straight sets and witness a salty explosion about not getting a home final .....or .....seeing the pies float straight out with west coast coming from behind again with the last kick of the game.

I honestly can’t make up my mind.

Don’t overhype it. Daniher is no different to Moore, just injury prone, unreliable and inconsistent.
The sooner they *smile* him off the better.
A real club would trade him

Sheild is *smile*.
Prestia is a better kick and that’s not saying much.

Let's get the 2018 premiership dreamers, especially Figgy's ugly face, out of the way first.

Pricky comes later when he's built up hope reaching a PF.

Interesting take. Just not sure they are any good - their "guns" tend to be over rated.

They can do it some of the time, but it's not a habit. Not sure if there's a leadership vacuum or what.

They'll offload some dead wood - Baguley, Myers, Dea, Z.Clarke. Devon Smith comes in, maybe Daniher, plus Gleeson and Guelfi who are OK.

U23 they have Parish, McGrath, Redman, Zerk-Thatcher, Clarke, Ham who have all shown a bit, plus the ruckman Draper who St.Kilda threw big money at. Not exceptional but not terrible.

Don't think they need to take an axe to it just yet. Maybe in 12 months...

Are you serious?
Parish. Another failed 1st rounder
Ham. Only good in sandwiches
Clarke. Tagger my ass
Redman. Typical Essendon footballer. Unskilled
