Yes poor King he was beset by a heavy tag from Didak from the first bounce and after 1.5 quarters of constant harrasment from a player of lesser talent had no option but to whack him in the guts when he wasn't looking to try and break the tag. Its just a disgrace that players of the calibre of King, a ball player from a long line of ball players attracts unwarranted and illegal attention in an attempt to limit the impact of his sublime skills which the paying public have come to see.TigerFurious said:I like the way you contradicted yourself in the first sentence. :
For the record, Maxwell was 100% spot on.
Ridley said:This has been the one of the greatest *smile* witch hunts I have ever seen. After the original scuffle Dicksack was given a free kick and played on. He had prior opportunity and King tackled him and stripped him of the ball. King should have been paid a free kick for incorrect disposal. Instead 4 Collingscum players jumped on him and pounded him. Yet it is RFC players copping the blame.
Geez the media are a bunch of Collingwood suck ups.

didak runs up behind King and gives him an elbow in the back/left shoulder. This what started it. King caught up with didak and (apparently) gave him a jab/elbow (wasn't any footage) to the guts. The miserable, slimy, soft p.o.s. then doubled over shamming. To which his slimy soft p.o.s. team-mates gang charged poor Jake.
Our players responded to this unseemly and cowardly gang attack on their team-mate.
The next piece of play was when didak from a free, played on and the kick was smothered, regathered and King tackled didak, for the ball to spill out, where upon Jake courageously tried to pick it up. The weak slimy p.o.s scum players then gang jumped on King. And proceeded to slimily belt King, he should have been awarded the free kick, and 50 m but alas, the sycophantic scumloving umpires didn't pay it.
Sly, cheap shots, hairpulling and later on biting went unnoticed and hardly mentioned.
For maxwell to start bleating, perhaps he will be a bit surprised when they do a game review and show some slo mo's of his own mob.

On the other hand Maxwell might have been 100% spot on.

Been reading through this thread, and the amouont of crap being thrown by you guys is absolutely ridiculous...but finally I get to this post, and a bit of common sense prevails. Fact is Tiger fans, your team has performed absolutely terribly from the first quarter in round 1, pretty much until the end.
Although the medial response to the melee on Saturday is a bit over the top, the best thing RFC can do is put their head down, FFS get the right coach, but more importantly the leaders of the club need to give him the freedom to do his job. Have a good pre season, then be ready to go round 1 2010.
Fact is you as Tiger fans are going to have to put up with some ridicule until the club starts to turn things around. No good winning a bloody fight, when you lose on the scoreboard by 100 pts!

GoodOne said:Love the way these non events get turned into major stories. A melee, whoopy doo, great theatrics and that's it. Won't be the last melee we ever see. Thought the contest between Didak and King was great. Some real hatred there. But let's face it, when it comes to the real purpose of being on the footy ground, Didak kicked Kings ass, he was just way too good for him. Let's not lose sight of this when we evaluate King's performance and his future.
The footage is all there, surely intelligent humans can make their own judgement. I don't see why the Tigers really need to respond at all. Keep it as ammunition for the next time we play the magpie scum.

I can top that, Collingscum to make the GF, lose by a point after the siren to St Kilda. This will give the Saints their 2nd ever Premiership and also they will like Collingwood have won 2 Premierships in the last 50 years.Cookie said:Tigers gutless alright. No one had the guts to stand up to King when he was on his feet but when he went to ground four jumped him. The bloke with the tatt sleave put four to his head while he was getting held down. Collingwood scum hope you make the grand final and lose by a point
