We have been labelled as "Gutless" and must respond

I'm not suggesting we argue the point. Nor am I entering into a debate about the on field incident(s). I am pleading for a response from the club. You say we are "A spineless, insipid football side." - that is your opinion which you are entitled to. What I am on about is the Richmond Football Club taking this public statement lying down. Where are our leaders?

Hard to argue with him. We lost both the fights and the game.

A spineless, insipid football side.

A total humiliation from the soft *smile* we support, again they have let us down.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were upset over something this week that made them play like a bunch of poofs. This bunch of insipid weak minded individuals have been controlling this club for a very long time.

Time for a new coach to whip their arses and minds into shape.

Agree with most of what you said GPB but I reckon we beat them in that fight though.

Highlight of the game watching the pies players get bashed. :hihi

I expect our response to be a ferocious first 10 minutes agains the Hawks on Saturday, before we revert to type.

10 minutes is optimistic.

I think Maxwell was upset that Cogs got him on the jaw with a beauty of a jumper punch and his hard man image was shown to be a myth. The only instance I saw of a player getting hit when going for the ball was Cogs who had eyes only for the ball when Didak dropped an elbow onto his head. Richo has responded in any case and I wonder if next week all the Swans are going to target the Pies players because Eddie's little boys can't fight back.

yes they were definitely much better hair pullers and finger biters. At least Coughlan managed a couple of decent inside punches. Really how do you lose a fight when you can't punch?

Is that a trick question Goody?

Like you Mex, I'm still waiting for our club to respond. Surely our president or Football Manager could have something to say!!!

We got called gutless by Maxwell, Hislop didn't appear gutless after Maxwell had him on the ground & then jumped up & took care of him. Who gives a flying toss what Maxwell says anyway.

PLEASE Richmond football club, respond to this accusation.

Not so sure I agree with that. I've spoken to senior people at RFC before about inaccuracies and false accusations in the media but they've thought it was a no win situation to get into a public spat. I'd rather let people judge the Pies for the comments and let our footy do the talking next time we play them.

Maxwell what a pea heart, Man up Nick.

Geez I reckon. Get over it. A bit of push and shove and the primadonnas get narky.

You want to see violence come around to my place when the Roast Pork is about. Talk about scuffle.

Mathew Richardson stated that considering the way Collingwood won (pumping Richmond) Maxwell shouldn't have said anything at all and just to let it go.

To me fighting means jack if the team gets pumped (a different story if it was a very hard fought out game with the margin being minimal), we all know the battle is to play as a team and get the ball through the big sticks.

Not sure if anyone mentioned the McGuane, 'alleged biting' incident. Full credit for McGuane to abide by the 'players code' and not pursue the incident any further, and do a Maxwell dog's act, and leave the incident on the ground.

I loved the *smile* slaps Didak laid on Tuck. Tucky didn't even bat an eyelid......but Didak was making sure he wasn't going to be any where close by just in case Tucky got offended ...
