I've spoken to senior people at RFC before about inaccuracies and false accusations in the media but they've thought it was a no win situation to get into a public spat. I'd rather let people judge the Pies for the comments and let our footy do the talking next time we play them.

no I would think Chris Newman is the best placed to make a response. That would match captain with captain. A measured response from Newman in the form of a press release refuting claims that RFC players deliberately provoked Collingwood players. And a further statement that assures members and supporters that RFC players intend to atone for the sub standard performance. I'm sure something could be worded that simply and clearly states that in no way did our team set about the game in the manner that Maxwell has claimed. After that, no further correspondance will be entered into.

didak runs up behind King and gives him an elbow in the back/left shoulder. This what started it. King caught up with didak and (apparently) gave him a jab/elbow (wasn't any footage) to the guts. The miserable, slimy, soft p.o.s. then doubled over shamming. To which his slimy soft p.o.s. team-mates gang charged poor Jake.
Our players responded to this unseemly and cowardly gang attack on their team-mate.
The next piece of play was when didak from a free, played on and the kick was smothered, regathered and King tackled didak, for the ball to spill out, where upon Jake courageously tried to pick it up. The weak slimy p.o.s scum players then gang jumped on King. And proceeded to slimily belt King, he should have been awarded the free kick, and 50 m but alas, the sycophantic scumloving umpires didn't pay it.
Sly, cheap shots, hairpulling and later on biting went unnoticed and hardly mentioned.
For maxwell to start bleating, perhaps he will be a bit surprised when they do a game review and show some slo mo's of his own mob.

I will be mentioning this to Brendan at Club 80 tomorrow if I get a chance. For far too long we have sat back and just let these things die out. We will never get stronger unless we stick up for ourselves.

Agree Bob. Outrageous reporting of the incident by all in the media including all those w@nkers on FC. Richmond has deserved criticism for much this year but the reporting of the wrestle has been diabolical.

Love the way these non events get turned into major stories. A melee, whoopy doo, great theatrics and that's it. Won't be the last melee we ever see. Thought the contest between Didak and King was great. Some real hatred there. But let's face it, when it comes to the real purpose of being on the footy ground, Didak kicked Kings ass, he was just way too good for him. Let's not lose sight of this when we evaluate King's performance and his future.

The footage is all there, surely intelligent humans can make their own judgement. I don't see why the Tigers really need to respond at all. Keep it as ammunition for the next time we play the magpie scum.
