I'm no fan of some of the umpires either but this is uncalled for.
The umps were at their finest today. Some strange decisions again mostly against the Tigers
HArd to beat the umpires in a close game. MArk not paid to chol and 2 frees in third quarter resulting in in GWS goals plus Greene goal by push on Grimes is a different result
Why do umpires miss so many throws? Collingwood have at least a dozen a game, and GWS had at least 3 really obvious ones that were missed. I know all teams, including us are doing it more and more but how the Umps miss so many is beyond me.
Ok, this is an historic moment, I am about to say something positive about umpires!
One thing I noticed tonight is that they seemed to ball it up much quicker. No messing about just grabbed the ball and tossed it in the air. Much better.
Ok, back to normal transmission, I still hate the inconsistency.

how was the chol non-mark? and what was with the screaming play-on when we were just going back behind the mark in the first half? Just weird. They were generally poor tonight, the one with the dark hair seemed like a rabbit in the headlights, they were generally whistle-happy, but they screwed us at crucial times.
Frees were 14 each at half time, finished 19-17 GWS's way.
How can they pay 28 frees in the first half, and only 8 in the second half?
Usually you'd expect more in the second half as players tire and scrag more.
And, it's the ones they don't pay that really frustrate.

So many dubious decisions, mostly against us. And the clear mark to Chol that wasn’t paid was a howler.
Just a horrible standard of umpiring. So many nothing free kicks called in the centre this week, yet last week McDonald can hug Dusty non stop for no frees (except a dusty report of course)

Hows the Castagna one in the last where he took the ball in the air from a Chol tab and was tackled whilst still in the air. Thrown to the ground and ump calls HTB....
Can someone explain this one, player grabs ball, tries to kick whilst being tackled and has an air swing and it's play on.....why isnt that incorrect disposal? The player hasnt kicked it or hand passed it correctly. Happened last night in the last quarter in their forward line and I was nearly without my Panasonic tv for the near future.
That was really noticeable and was loosing it .
Really need this addressed by the afl umpires boss.
