Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

Why always blame the umpire? Trying standing in the middle with 36 players and 36000 spectators each with his own view. then analyse the foul play and make a decision in a split-second. You can be certain the half the players and probably half the crowd will disagree.
As a retired soccer ref all I can say is if you people who always criticise the umps yet think they know the rules and interpretations so well and can handle making decisions in the heat of a game, go and take and umpiring course then get out in the middle and see what the umpiring world is really like. It is not easy!
That said I am really gutted we lost this evening and even though we failed to play as a cohesive unit and handed Freo the game by far too many turnovers, I will still be watching next week hoping the real Richmond is playing.

1. Goal Review was needed. Any help to make an informed decision re the goal should of been made (in the least give the players a break for one last crack)
2. Hill then simply walked the ball over.
3. Vickery should either of (a) marked the ball (b) push the goal umpire out of the way and let him know he was in the wrong position.
4. Fyfe should get 4 weeks for kicking Jacko
5. The sliding rule is joke, Cotch was on his stomach punching the ball forward.
6. The ruck rule is a joke, the new rule states that each team must nominate a ruckman in each contest. I'm sure as hell confident Freo did not nominate both their ruckman at the final throw in that resulted in the Ballantyne goal.
