Crap umpiring, really crap. That goal denied to Dusty was shocking. Player falls over and waves arms in the air and gets a free, and a tremendous goal doesn't count. I agree with Dyer'eres comment, thats the kind of next step that good sides take, becoming quickly aware of which way the wind is blowing ump-wise, and responding. Its high concept stuff, we aren't quite at that level yet, (maybe we are? but I doubt it, still too young).
Indulge me a second, how hard can it bloody be to get 50m penalties consistent? All the umps have to do is have a training run on the G or docklands, any stadium. Get some reference points and away the go. Its a professional game, a 50m penalty can be anywhere from 35-70m. (45-55m is acceptable) Its drives me up the wall. A shot to them from a 50 against Luke today went from a 30% shot (what it should have been) to a 70% shot. Just shouldn't happen.
