Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

I would love to see all supporters of ALL Clubs chant at every game the ol' BULL#@&T for 1 minutes at every decision with this stupid stance and continue until they reverse this interpretation. Let it be heard over the broadcast until the AFL get embarassed.

I love hearing this chant, but it unfortunately doesn't get through those thick head dumpires.

Just saw on the news that blubbering Geisch in typical angry defiance stance stating there should have been more out of bounds free kicks paid. Also saying he is not going to call Scott to discuss his comments... blah blah blah.

This is the problem, they want to pay free kicks. Stop blowing the whistle, let the players sort it out. Too many free kicks in AFL, the reason I find myself no longer watching AFL unless Richmond is playing.

Like you, in recent years I have switched off games purely because of umpiring - games of teams i don't even support becuase of the pure frustration of the game being dumbed down to suit the umpires.

We had a good run of it today, we got away with plenty that could have gone the other way.
Finally realize what it's like to be an Eagles supporter.
LOL, was at Subi on Friday, thought they were going to tear the stadium down and that was with an equal free kick count. Wonder what they would do if they actually had less frees.

Not sure if anyone saw the Eagles vs Cats last night but the umpires were on a mission. I was cob smacked, the commentators were also at pains to justify what was happening.

Deliberate out of bounds is the NEW INTERPRETATION of the week.

That Afl puppet Geisch has sent his sms to enforce. (Not the umpires at fault) Ready... 9 paid in one game. It's been a long time since I have seen umpires leave so quickly from a ground with a full escort to protect. Crowds from both sides were uncontrolable in my view. Every single time the ball went out of bounds the crowds were going crazy like a big farce demanding a free kick.

The banner in the crowd where they walked off said it all. Umps, all we want is consistenancy.

AFL YOU ARE A JOKE !
Kerr has a shot for goal in the last quarter and it rolls out of bounds in the pocket, every non-eagles supporter screaming deliberate. Very annoying up to half time after which it became most entertaining.

I reckon the crowd were responsible for most of those Delib OOB calls. Once the umps gave that early one against Glass, they were baying for them. Of course, the umps just love making that under-arm dig disco move that goes with it, so it all got out of hand.

While we are on the Subi crowds, what is it with all that constant standing up out of their seats that they all seem to do? I'm glad I don't watch footy there, I'd be forever yellling out: "Siddown in front, you goose," to pretty much everyone sitting in front of me.

Courage from knowing there are no opposition supporters there to call you out as a goose.

I remember what it was like barracking for richmond when Richo would get manhandled every damn game with very few free kicks. I understand that free kicks (or too many) can hurt the flow of a game, but I hate seeing stars get the rough end of the pineapple.

I don't think many would disagree but it's swung so far the other way that even the players look confused. When the rules committee realises that as custodians of the game there is a duty to listen to the frustrations of those who keep the damn sport afloat - i.e. us - then we'll see some action. Deliberate out of bounds, a fingernail in the back, brushing the arms or a 50m penalty for looking at an umpire the wrong way does not constitute the spirit of the game.

Our sport is based on contests...for god's sake, let them contest!

But only once each game EJC, can't do more than that now.... the opposition could be injured from the last contest and we have to protect anyone who even winces a little.

When lawyers become involved, everyone suffers.

You'd be lucky to a go a minute without seeing a blatant error.
What a cheat
2 definite holding the balls not paid in front of goal last 30 seconds of half
Dockers are doing some damage after we are taking marks - no 50s around
