TV for Overseas PREers

For those in the UK, best to subscribe to http://www.liveafl.tv/page/Home and also get ESPN on your television package. Saw pretty much all the games live last year.

Thanks Freez - will be in Spain for some of this season so I might sign up for the time I am away. I assume there are no other costs and can stream onto the laptop.

You just set up an account and can log on from any computer. I guess as long as you're outside Australia, it would work fine. I've only ever tried in the UK though.

Freezer is on the money here. Could also subscribe online to ESPN monthly for the season. Only issue is the 4am games and whether to get up early or go through the night...

I'll be mid-air over Europe for the GWS blockbuster, so I'll have to wait to see a replay. Does the AFL's game analyser (http://www.gameanalyser.afl.com.au/) video service work overseas or is this purely a bigpond thing?

And should I risk spoiling Europe the way the Suns game spoilt a perfect Hawaiian day last year?

Anyone know if our NAB cup games for round 2 & 3 of the NAB cup will be shown in Thailand?

Not sure yet. Australia Network website is your friend.

I do like your confidence though.

Can you get VFL overseas?

Otherwise you won't get to see much of the Gus Bus.

No, we can't unfortunately. It's why I am making the most of the next 52 days.

Don't know about Africa but Thailand should show a swag of games on Australia Network. If you're staying in a hotel, book one with WETV and not True, the latter will have mainly Premier League and next to no AFL.

Pretty odd that you can see this game OS but not on FTA in Australia.

Not really, we've always had a mix of FTA and Foxtel games being broadcast out here.

Plus, it's on cable so technically not FTA.

Thx for the heads up. Staying at the Marriott on the cheap so let's hope they have it.
Still would like to know about online replays coz not likely to have net access in parts of Africa I'm going to

I was in the US last year during the brissy and freo games and i just logged on to the afl site at the hotel i stayed and watched aftermatch highlights. It wasn't much but it did the job.
Sportsbar in downtown disney promised 170 screens with sport from around the world. Let's just say that is a total lie, walked in and it was full of american sport only.

hi guys, am i allowed to post a link to the afl website here? if so, i'd like to - it carries full match replays online on their website - the idea being our overseas PRE community can click on the link and see if they are able to watch these replays or if it's only for Aussies....
cheers

Australia Network is not showing Fremantle vs Richmond game unfortunately.
Was hoping they may show the Geelong game, but might be a good thing if they don't, considering the venue!

Yeah, you're right, the bastards. I blame Gus.
