After delivering at the start of the season they are now reverting back to form. Replay on AFL TV has not been up for days. Sydney replay is still not working properly?

It's been ok for the live action though.

Glad to hear it's not just me. Have been having issues with YouTube and thought it had carried over to afllive.

Not a bad site though when it's working. Happy I paid the £50.

Yeah, until two weeks ago it was hard to fault however the service level has fallen right back. Pretty crap actually for a paid service.

At about £0.30 per live game when functioning is quite good. However then you access the BBC website which is currently streaming every court of Wimbledon live, Ascot live last week etc, and in flawless pictures you think the AFL has a fair way to go yet.

Toyota AFL Premiership Season - Rnd 14:
Richmond v MelbourneSaturday
25 Jun at 12:00 (SG Time)

Good news people, it looks like the ABC contract has been extended until February which will hopefully mean the finals will be broadcast. Julia Gillard has seemingly become spooked by the prospect of Sky taking over and has scrapped the existing tendering process. What this means for next season remains up in the air but I guess there is a glimmer of hope that there will be some flexibility with Rudd's anti-sport mandate.

Does anyone know the best way to view AFL games whilst in Asia this year?

I'm led to believe setanta will show it this year.

I'll ask around and let you know what I hear.

Since the ABC has retained the rights to Australia Network has it been confirmed there will be no footy? I know the anti-sport policy was part of the tendering process and that turned out to be an absolute joke, Rudd is also seemingly out of the picture and he seemed to be behind the change of direction. I'm fairly certain when the audience numbers drop off they will be scrambling to get sport back on the radar.

No idea if AN has kept it. Last heard, last year, was that was it thanks to Rudd. Around that time I spoke to a bloke from setanta who said they would pick it up if no one else did.

AN did good last year with most Ames being televised either live or slight delay.

Please keep us overseas mob posted if you hear anything about screened Tigers matches that we can get overseas. Buying DVD's or having friends sending DVD's over is not the same as watching it live.
I see some footy on the box but it was rare as I don't subscribe to ESPN so generally have to listen to biased internet radio.

There are ways and means of watching good copies a day or two later, then there are other ways which let you see live over the net.

There is also Telstra/AFL's International subscription service but I have no idea how it works.

I travel all over the place for work and last year I never missed a game live if I was available to watch it.
Used www.liveafl.tv (paid about $85 I think) and the tiges were live about 8-10 times.
Other times they were either on TV live where I was or I found them using "alternate" live options, the type we are not allowed to list here on the forum but you just PM people to get the details.

Last year I watched live streams for delayed games. I'll see if the usual suspects are still doing it this year. Make sure to remind me closer to the start of season ;)

We are on the Australia Network Feb 17 9.30 (Thailand time).

Brilliant news, keeping AN with the ABC has definitely been Joolia's crowning achievement.
