Live on ESPN UK tomorrow morning 10:30am - will not be taking the morning off for that one!

Despite knowing better I coughed up another £49.99 for www.liveafl.tv. Although previous 3 Tigers' games were live I have watched a few others and service has been ok.

For those considering coughing up the schedule is as follows. (Time is UK based)

Damn, I just realized I will miss the game because of a last minute flight. Maybe that is a sign we might win?

Don't blame Rupert Murdoch, blame gustiger.

You have a looong memory Baloo.
I was saying to oldie the other day, I was around in early 2000 when Australia Network took over from ABC Asia Pacific TV and the old line was trotted out that Australia Network wasn't about Expat viewers, but all about the local audiences in the countries they were broadcasting too. This was all part of the party line as DFAT were a major backer of the channel and they had to keep them happy.

They substantially reduced there sports coverage for about a year, but the backlash was overwhelming and they finally realise that without the expat audience they had stuff all audience, so after a year of abuse they reintroduced the sport coverage like never before.

They need to forget the rhetoric and start worrying about reality. What they fail to understand is that a lot of their so called target audience actually love watching Australian sport, not to mention all the other countries expats living abroad who watch the Aussie sport. If they don't show it someone else will soon pick it up.

Funnily enough here in the Solomon Islands we get pretty good AFL coverage on other Australian channels we get here.

Don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but for those of us here on the European continent, Eurosport 2 do one game per round live, sometimes two. Mostly the Friday and/or Saturday night game, so that they can be watched at a reasonable hour here (11.00 am). Depending upon the country, there might even be local language commentary - we have that in Denmark.

This started last year. Richmond was not on once for the whole of 2010, but this year we have already been on three times (St. Kilda, Hawthorn and Collingwood games). Despite the losses, I've been like a pig-in-sh!t watching the Tiges live on full HD.

Very early days of course, but it'd be interesting to know whether anyone has any idea about how the new TV rights agreement will affect overseas broadcasts.

For mine, the Australia Network's AFL coverage has been great this season, with a minimum of four games each round, and every Tigers match so far, including this coming weekend.

Hopefully this continues under the new agreement.

Not just for the Austarlia Network but also ESPN's involvement as far as online broadcasting goes here in the States.

Fingers crossed that more games will be available with any kinda luck.

Should be a big Marngrook Footy Show next Thursday in light of the Dream Time @ The G.

on june 10 i'm going on a 15 week overseas trip. 11 weeks in europe, 3 weeks in asia and a week in fiji. would love some advice as to where i could watch games in europe and asia. sounds like ESPN is the way to go in europe, yes?

Just typical ! The weekend the family are away so there would be no one bothering me during the game, Australia Network have decided that our game against the Swans is the only game not to show this weekend.

gustiger, you have a lot to answer for.
