Trent Cotchin (Merged)

If Sloan gets off and Cotch somehow gets suspended then the club has to appeal - you know if it was Fyfe or Franklin doing the same thing leading into a GF they wouldn't get anything because the AFL would want the best players out there.

My point is, what was Cotchin supposed to do? Sheila didn't have the ball, so he couldn't tackle him, which some genius scribes are saying he should have done. Cotch simply went in hard for a loose ball. IMO it's not a classic bump, more a brace for impact. Nothing in it move on.

Agree mate. Lids is a gun that Dirty Harry would be proud of.

Cotchin though is in another stratosphere. The once in a generation stratosphere.

The stratosphere where Royce and Maurice walk.

After a few years of doubts, I think I may have been right...

Joel Selwood. Pfffft.

It's an interesting contrast. Selwood seems to be struggling a bit now that Bartel and co have retired. Whereas Cotchin struggled for a few years but now with the emergence of Martin, Prestia and co is flying and back to his best.

Having said that, I would take Cotchin any day of the week. He has an element of class that Selwood can only dream of.

Has proved many wrong , not just as a player , but as an inspirational leader,

Dusty will get all the plaudits this year , Cotchin s contribution has been just as valuable imo

Late last qtr. MCC Members wing. Ball in disput and Davis (I think) is about to grab the ball close to the boundary. Through sheer force of will Cotchin runs past 2 other Giants and nails him and takes him over the boundary. That piece of play typified his finals series.
Yes. And he does it multiple times a game. Just refuses to be beaten.

Great game & Great captains game by Trent Cotchin

Equals his game against the Hawks where he dominated Hodge

Johnny Ralph reckons he should go, bloody hell he has no idea. I'm wondering if he really is a tiges supporter.
He's a *smile* first, anything else second.
