Training For Redemption in 2022

Sam Walsh out and Liam Jones who has kept jack pretty quiet over the years are big outs . I’m backing our tall forwards to make life difficult for their key backs
I forgot Walsh was out, and without Jones and Marchbank, the Tigers will look to stretch them in defence.

I think many of the injury issues are related to a very physical game plan, extra games due to finals and an aging list. It’s what we can expect until a few retire.

Lambo really should have had surgery early season so he could have been ready for the season. Seems to be a bit of neglect by the club IMO
Believe Lamblett has already had several surgeries on his dodgy hips over the years n is basically trying to manage the issues as best he can. Trying to get to the point where he can play through the issues as there might not be a helluva lot left whether he has to go in for surgery again or not.

Final Training Session today Tuesday:

Potential Bad news :

McIntosh is injured and will likely miss  , (although just heard Dimma's presser and he did not name Kamdyn when asked if there was anyone else likely to miss:unsure:, (was only walking laps with Tigga and didn't train Thursday either).

***Edit : Kamdyn now a confirmed out with calf injury/soreness.

Potential good news :

Graham completed his 3rd full session in a row so reckon he could be in the frame for selection.

Line Ball Call :

Grimes did most of the session but sat out drills where there was grappling involved, (he was marking and spoiling ok but no tackling)
**Note : A pointer that Grimes may not play? was that Balta having trained forward all summer was solely in defense today, (maybe hedging bets in case he does have to play there).

**Edit: Just heard Dimma's preview said Grimes would play if he has a strong session today, I would say Dillon trained strongly without testing his hand to the maximum so we'll see.
Nank absent with health and safety protocols but will play :clap2

Pretty sloppy session overall.

Go Tiges!
Many thx for the updates over summer, very much appreciated

My hip surgeon mate was very concerned they were going to try to patch him up rather than getting him 100% right for next year and beyond.
Difficult situation when the player himself and his coaches want him out on the ground.
Wonder whether it’s his last hoorah?

I wonder if Dylan will do a Lin Jong and tape up his good hand.

Grimes was always gonna play after yesterday's training. Taking speccies over Dimma etc.

No surprises there.

Captains run today Wednesday :

OK Graham & Grimes trained making both a lock in my opinion.

It was a 24 squad minus Nank & George who are both available to play tomorrow night.

So we need 22 players plus a medical sub.

The borderline or fitness doubtful players there today where : Mansel Dow Parker Pickett Graham Hugo Aarts, (i have Ross as a lock).

So given the above my team is :

Backs : Short Tarrant Rioli
HB : Broad Grimes Gibcus
Centre : Pickett Cotch Ross
HF : Baker Riewoldt Castagna
Fwds : Shai Lynch Balta

Followers : Dusty Nank Prestia

Interchange : Aarts Graham Shedda Soldo

Medical Sub : Dow Parker Hugo or Mansel?

**Only problem with my team is the lack of anyone to rotate at half back so maybe Hugo for Aarts, (Aarts is a Dimma favorite though i think?)

I really, really, really hope we are not risking Jacky G just for the sake of a R1 game. I feel worried.

Hip soreness can limit the best players but Lambert is a running machine..I can't see without surgery how he plays again..
Gun player.
