Training For Redemption in 2022

HI Caesar Oh great one, do you know which days we'll be training next week. I've a hankering to get down to watch training sometime maybe Monday or Tuesday.
I also have a voucher to spend at the Superstore which expires soon so that's an added incentive.

Although I am a Ross supporter (particularly if played to his strengths), I would still select Marlion over Ross to play the wingman position. It's Pickett' s best spot in the team in my humble opinion.

Training today, (1 week from gameday :) ) :

Fantastic first up full training session from Jack Graham, if his body pulls up well with another week to build on it Dimma is going to be very tempted to rush him back as am I.

KMac was a no show, pretty certain he is not injured? didn't he finish the Tassie game on the ground?. If so the boys only came back to the club yesterday with no strenuous training so no chance of injury there, (in which case he is a health & safety protocol watch for me).

Tigga not there at all today when last week he was on track putting in rehab work on his hamstring recovery so not sure there.

Boys up and about, in the 15 minutes of match play, Dusty was sublime on-ball, DRrioli exhilarating off half-back.

Despite the threat of no Grimes & maybe Tigga Balta still played forward with stints of rucking around the ground.

The starting wings for the 2 different sides were Ross & Aarts vs Marlion & Stack.

Banks participated in about two thirds of training which was long enough to notice some precision kicking.

**As mentioned previously only giving abbreviated reports as you are all seeing the boys play now so my reports become somewhat redundant.

Cheers
Never redundant, caesar, NEVER

If it came down to it at the selection table regarding the wing positions, I would definitely pick Stack and Pickett over the alternative of Ross and Aarts

Totally agree Caesar. They tried him as a HBF last year and that failed, now they're trying him on a wing.

They are unintentionally setting up the kid to fail.
U may be right but the difference this year from last is that he has improved his running power and fitness. Well that’s what the club said anyway.

i dont reckon Ross failed as a HBF, and i dont think they are "trying" him on a wing.
I reckon they see Jack Ross as a long term midfielder for us, who may not get a game in the centre square whilst Cotch and Prestia etc are running around, but they are using the opportunity to build his all round game by playing him elsewhere while he waits for his spot to open.

Main training in season has always been 2 days prior to match day so that will make it Tuesday next week.

10am probably a good time to arrive, at worst you could have to wait a bit but you could kill time in Superstore or walk in Yarra Park but generally the boys are warming up by 10am.

Looks like Browneye's got some Ch 7 news on Vloss today.

Agree. Didn't we play Dusty off half-back early on?

Apparently Tigga was at training before I got there and had already left the track so I don't like the sound of that.

So just saw Tigga limping off the ground on chl7 he was moving freely last week so you would think he has re-done it? if so expect multiple weeks out.

To follow match updates from Casey Fields, stay tuned to @RichmondVFL on twitter
23 VFL listed players named in the squad No AFL players named
Bugger.
Would have been a great opportunity to get another look at some of our younger players.
Practice game against Carlton on Thursday March 17th 4pm at Punt Rd I assume will be a full dress rehearsal for the 2nds.
Season proper starts March 27 against Southport.
